Poppies near the fence

Shrub roses:

lavender about to bloom (middle):

nothing blooming here, but I like the way the blue fescue, red maple and striped grasses create a tapestry of color

Everything is lovely, especially the last shot. It looks like you have a nice mix of shady spots and sunny spots.

If anyone leaves this post without being impressed then they should have their head checked. ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!!!!! I stared at the photo of the hanging basket before the petunias for a good solid minute. It is beautiful with the trees and clouds in the background. You captured the feel of the day and the beauty of the basket all in one shot. WOW! I think I'll move to a zone 4 to succeed with annuals...

CLC70- Connie To left of the bird bath I have a bunch of perennial hibiscus and then in front of the birdbath I have some hummingbird salvia and then in front of that is Coneflowers. It looks like they are leaning toward the birdbath but the only one for sure leaning is the hibiscus and you would know the flowers of that one. But the rounded one is coneflower. HTH Gardenweed I can not remember the name os the cana there are also red ones here as well. I bought a pack of mixed seeds from ebay and nother germinated sadly. But I also collect seeds as well as dig up the plants in the late fall. Paula

Lotus Position has been blooming really well this season. Last year it had some beautiful blooms, but just as many were a bit splotchy. They have all been great this year, surprising how a year can improve a new daylily. Pink ones seem to be the ones that do that most for me. Hello Heartstrings has had beautiful blooms from the first one. Enduring freedom looks like one that would be a problem, but it has been lovely too. Part of that may be because I haven't had a problem with thrips this year. I haven't sprayed, but haven't seen them either. Really surprising, I wonder if the weeks of warm weather then that hard freeze took care of them for me.

You lucky girl Beth! I am beginning to really like the striped roses. Your flowers are so pretty. Its cold and windy here in Ga. today. I know what you mean about things seeming like they pop up in just hours. I was out looking around and hosta that wasn't out yesterday was up about 4 inches today. I have cherry trees, rhodies, lenten roses and lamium blooming right now. I love them all. Lots of my lilies are growing like crazy and I can't wait. I love them as much as roses. Can't wait for more pictures of your beatiful flowers. Judy
