Thank you, Sorie! Just think, this time tomorrow I'll be on my way to being able to eat a thick slice of Cherokee Purple without fear! Crazy, right? It's a little after nine this evening in my little slice of Heaven. IT'S RAINING! Just in time to water all the garlic, seedless blackberry, Echinacea, bee balm, Orange Daylillies, iris, comfrey, paperwhites, ornamental peppers and lambs ear along with freshly sown seeds of Caserta Zuch, yellow straigtneck, dark star zuch, radishes of French Breakfast and Cherry Bell along with a vast assortment of lettuce and spinach in my "greens" table! Still have to plant a few maters, peppers and cardinal vine but they're watered and tucked under the back patio cover until I can get to them next weekend (I'm being quite the Optimist, huh?), As long as you guys keep leaving all these wonderful leftovers, we'll be hard-pressed to find a reason to quit hosting! (I'm also the lucky one that got the leftover Turkey Pastrami from okoutdoorsman!) Oh wait.....that's part of the enabling. Sheesh....I thought I'd been here long enough to be immune..... Paula

You know, y'all, I don't want to point any fingers at anyone, least of all because all those other fingers would be pointing back at me, but for the life of me, I cannot figure out how we are going to have time to wander around and grab plants to take home. If you read the food list, you'd think we are going to sit down and eat nonstop for three hours straight. Do we always do that? Okay. Maybe we do. Our Spring Fling clearly is about family, friends, food and plants. Sorry, I couldn't make plants start with an 'f'. I tried and it just didn't work. Oh, and pets, who are practically family as well. We're less than 24 hours away now. Wow, just wow. Can't wait.

mazerolm, people tell me I have a short growing season! You must have a love for the garden and flowers to make the effort in z3. It's all looking so good! This year I've had some "no shows". Maybe because of our record breaking rain? Last fall I planted 50 Muscari, comosum plumosum and 10 Ornithalum that I haven't seen yet. They may still show up, but the clock is ticking! Still have alliums around the yard.... One patch of white giant alliums..... Hyacinthoides hispanica

Mia, I sent Bruce that photo this morning just to make sure his day got off to a great start. We are getting ready to leave the Oklahoma outback down here in southern OK to head up there to the civilized territory. It takes us a while because we always get lost when we get north of the Arbuckle Mountains. It never fails. See y'all in a few hours. Oh, my god! Look at all those nice people.. and all those plants. Prolly a good thing I didn't come.... it would have been so hard to leave without plants.

Hopefully I will have a yard again by next year.

Thanks for posting so many great photos. I am glad that the weather was nice for your event yesterday. It was absolutely HORRIBLE on Friday. Looks like a great time was had by all.

I could almost hear all the chatering going on looking at those pictures.

sure wished i could of made it there, but i could not close the business at such a busy time.

I'm an information addict and try to absorb everything i can, I'm sure there was lots of information floating around that day.

hehe!!! I think this was maybe the only moment Brent was away from Tigerdawn's cookie......rumor is he's severely addicted to yummy chocolate chip cookies. (and he's still skinny!!! How the heck does that work?)

and there's Tree behind him to his left...and isn't that Terra (with her perfectly organized seed files!) just slightly behind his right?

SEE? You guys just thought I wasn't paying attention!
