Frost Advisory & Fire Weather Watch

FROST ADVISORY FOR EARLY FRIDAY MORNING:

The NWS has issued a Frost Advisory for several counties in central/eastern Oklahoma. The advisory is in effect from 3 a.m. to 9 a.m. Friday and the counties in the advisory area are: Kay, Noble, Payne, Lincoln, Pottawatomie, Seminole, Hughes, Coal, Atoka and Bryan. Overnight lows will fall into the mid-30s in/near these counties and areas of frost are possible in valleys and other cooler, low-lying locations. The impact of this event is that "sensitive outdoors plants may be damaged or killed if left uncovered".

FIRE WEATHER WATCH FOR FRIDAY AFTERNOON IN WESTERN OK:

A Fire Weather Watch has been issued for Friday afternoon through Friday evening for the following counties: Harper, Ellis, Roger Mills, Beckham, Harper, Hardeman, Foard and Knox. A Fire Weather Watch means conditions wikl occur that can lead to the fast spread/development of wildfires. In these particular counties tomorrow afternoon, the humidity will be very, very low.

After tonight/tomorrow, we should have fairly perfect weather for a few days.
