Once I get an idea into my head; Dry Gulch II

I wasn't going to do anything on the gulch until Spring....but-

I just could not stop thinking about it. The grass is Japanese hakone grass ... Hakonechloa macra 'Aureola'...Japanese Forest Grass....bamboo grass...

I bought some hosta liners; Inspire Geatness, Earth Angel, First Frost and Temptation (to tired to show all. Ordered 13 got 16. My credit card was hacked and a fraudulent charge of close to $700 was made. Not by Hosta Liners. Ed at hosta liners sent the order out anyway and threw in a few because of my troubles.

Some are small-

Some decent sized-

All healthy.

Haven't cleaned it up yet-

A fern. I have a lot of Lamium (Pink Pewter), Vareagated Vinca Minor, Emerald Gaitey and Moonlight Euonymus, ivy maybe that I can put there. Other stuff will wait until Spring...unless I find some bargains.

Oh, I did a little "judicious pruning"...

...and now I have some pretty good dappled afternoon light.

OT, but here are some pumpkin plants that grew from rotted pumpkins I threw into a pile of leaves last November.

I think that is it for the dry gulch...again.

Hope you like it so far. If you see a house with a front yard filled with pumpkins this Halloween; that's me.
