One 'So Sweet' Thrives. The New One Dives.

I love my well-established "So Sweet." It is probably my favorite hosta. I love it so very much that I refused to 'divide and tamper.' So I bought a new one (I can't remember where I got it).... but it isn't doing very well at all. Part of it is fizzling out with dying leaves, and the other half just looks down-right puny. (None of the vigor that the other one has).

I'm fearful it may have that virus, and I'm wondering what to do. If I pitch it, should I wait a while before putting a new hosta in this location (fearing if it is that virus that the one I replace it with will get it as well.)

What to do?
