Depends on what flowers they are.

If you bought a typial 'wildflower' seed mix, and if you planted the seed in a sunny area, I would expect flowers starting some time in July, with the best flower show in August and sept, probably. I would also expect most of the plants that grow to be non-native plants, so i wouldn't call them wildflowers.

I have planted perennial wildflowers mix. Seedlings are very still tiny. I also planted yarrow mix but I do not see them! I think it did not germinate! Sowed outside in May end after last frost date!

Most of a natives 1st year growth is within the root structure. Im not saying they wont bloom this year, but blooming is not a high priority for the plant at this stage of its young life.

Most restorations require 2 years of mowing to control weeds. I'm in my 2nd year of a 5a restoration, and mowed every 21 days last year. Some forbs stil bloomed, despite my mowing, but there were very few.

I did quite a bit of damage to my restoration last year, getting anxious and pulling large annual weeds. What happens, is that you pull up a large root clump, which disturbs the surrounding soil, disrupts the natives that you planted, and the dirt that you expose has a whole new set of weed bank seeds that werent going to germinate, prior to pulling but will now that you exposed them to daylight.

Native flowers require a large amount of patience and hard work for the first 2 or 3 years. I know, I failed miserably on my first attempt 10 years ago on a small forb patch, but have learned so much more since my first attempt. I'm not there yet and its hard, because you have this great vision of what you want it to look like, and it s just not happening fast enough.

I started in my lawn and did not completely threw the grass and now the the grass and seedlings are intermixed!
I made lots and lots of mistakes and I do not know what the leaves of each flowers should look like. I do not know which of the seed sprouted and which one did not.
Patience is what lacking in me... I go to the garden everyday to check whats happening today!
I have made so many mistakes... and I can't do anything about it, so I impatiently want another year to come where I will not make stupid things that I did this year but feel what I make some new mistakes next year stupidier than this years!

Kaali_maali, relax. If you lack patience, this is probably not a project for you. Some wildflower seeds can take as many as 3 years to grow. Esh asked an important question. Where did you get the seeds?

I started, like you, didn't know what I was doing or much about native plants. I had a sunny patch, mowed and burned it in the fall and waited for spring. It had some native plants but certainly didn't put on a show. Over the next several years I learned more about native plants and I started collecting seeds. I learned more collecting seeds than anything else I could have done. What started back in the late 80's as not much is now a knockout with hundreds of species and expanded to more than a 1/4 acre. Patience and the willingness to learn the plants. You are learning a lot just going out and looking at your garden. In July some things will bloom and you will remember that plant and remember what it looked like in June.

Yes, everyday I keep reading about plants those I planted(germination,blooming and harvest etcs.), gardening to me was a hobby when I was a little girl, from past 10 years I did not do anything as we were constantly moving...
This year I charged myself to do what I always wanted to do... I wanted a butterfly, bee and hummingbird hangout place to see and also help them grow. Also I had never planted veggies before, so I did this year... there are lots of mistakes but there are green plants growing. Already harvested two bunches of radish.
Yes, I need to learn more for which I am ready and hope gardening will teach me patience as well.
