I have been trying to transplant some trumpet vine from a place we don't want it to a place we can enjoy for several years now, but it doesn' seem to like being transplanted. I would like to have some seed. Would also like the morning glory seeds. Please look at my list and let mw know if there is anything there you like. Thank you!

Does anyone have any neat and/or unusual tree, shrub, vine, or hardy shade-loving perrennial seeds to swap? I am especially interested in uncommon tree or shrub seeds that I could winter sow. I would like to swap for things that are hardy to at least zone 6b. I am only interested in things that are properly identified. It's hard to know if I could use a "white flowering bush" or "some type of evergreen tree". I don't have nearly as many types of seeds to trade as some do, but I'm trying to get "started". By "Black Eyed Susan vine", I'm guessing you mean the annual Thunbergia alata. If the pods are fully developed (and not immature), you can leave them to dry out and plant next spring (or indoors a few weeks before the last frost). Once dry, they'll keep better under refrigeration. Lobelia can self-seed and you may well get plantlets next spring by sprinkling seed on the ground now. However, I think it's too late in the year to expect cuttings placed in the ground to take root and overwinter.
