That clear line is known as a window.
Jim Gibson introduced one like that called Windows or it had windows or mirrors in the name, sometime in late 60's or early 70's.
I don't have time right now to look up the exact name, but it's a Gibson plicata.

Thanks for jogging my memory.
My Mother visited Jim Gibsons garden in Porterville way back when and he was showing it to her and saying the silver stripe down the center looked like a mirror to him.
It must have been later when I heard the term window.
