I would be willing to trade several daylilies for your iris.......they would be named ones and also would be newer ones, could be bagels, doubles, or even spiders......your choice.....let me know......I have over 250 different,,,,,,my wife wants Iris.... let me know & have a great 4th.... Harry

Looks like an SDB (standard dwarf bearded). The stalks on mine are just emerging from the fans here. Because you said many years ago, I thought 'Ritz' (from the 60's) could be a variety to look into for its id. There are countless iris varieties out there and there's no guarantee that I've stumbled upon the name of yours. So, please don't share it under a (potentially) false name until you obtain a start of a named variety that resembles yours and compare them side-by-side. I would never want to be responsible for the spreading of false information, but it might be a place to start. Rebloom is sporadic (at best) here and I would expect that yours doesn't carry that gene. I always say "you'd be amazed the rules that iris break", but I wouldn't expect rebloom.

I just downloaded the book so is does work, It is very slow downloading and it's not your pc, it is the link that we are getting it from. I needed a clean copy. The link is being forwarded from France, and that is why it takes so long, make sure you have at least 75 clean pages for it to use. Make sure that it is fully downloaded before tring to print it off. Make sure you have enough ink. Don't run out of paper in the middle. They come out clean and sharp black and white, she did not use color. If you know how to use the printer there should be no problems. I broke my printer trying to download I douldn't load my printer.
