Hope someone can identify a problem I'm having with some of my Macs (11 of 28 plants). All were full of buds with 1/4 of them bloomimg when the blooms starting browning from the stems which turned the fertile and sterile parts brown and black. Basically killing most if not all of the bloom/bud. The leaves look green and lush. Only the blooms and buds are affected.

I havent used any fertilzer, did add aluminum sulphate in April, but only to 6 of them. Of the 4 beds that have macs in them only 1 is completely unaffected. The rest have varying number of problem plants. No problems on the paniculatas. I'll try to figure out how to send a picture but not sure i'll be able to.

I deadheaded the bad spots but it seems to be growing. In fact today 2 new plants are starting to show signs. I'm so disappointed and want to save as much of them as possible. Makes me want to cry!
