I think it can take anywhere from 3 to 5 weeks from incubating the egg until they fledge the nest. Sarah

I had 21 days in my mind, too, but it was pointed out here on the forum last winter that 21 days is probably from laying to hatch or from hatch to fledging. maybe 2-3 weeks as an egg and 2-3 weeks as a nestling for a total of 4-6 weeks? does that sound right?
