Question for those that grow roses...

My rose garden on the side of our house, is supposed to be a small sitting area surrounded by roses. For this, I was trying to plant a "wall of roses", so that the area will feel enclosed, like a room.

I need suggestions for what roses you have had success with that grow tall and bushy. I have approximately 40 rose plants and the Antique roses are too wiry (at least the ones I have) and most of the others defoliate at some point.

The only 2 I can use are Belinda's Dream and Windermere. I'm not sure if Belinda's Dream will get as tall as I would like, but at least it doesn't defoliate. My Windermeres are 6 ft tall and 3 feet wide so they are perfect. I would plant a row of these, but mine are grafted and I found them at Home Depot one year. I haven't seen them since.

Does anyone grow Lavender Lassie? Online it says you can grow it as a bush vs a climber. Just wondered if anyone has tried it and what it look like.

Thanks

Tina
