Tomorrow plant swap in St Pete at The Chattaway

Saturday, Oct 19, the Old Southeast Neighborhood is having a plant swap at the Chattaway (beer garden/restaurant) parking lot 9:30 to 11 a.m. This I learned from yard signs at the C and in the area. The C won't be open (until lunch time - famous for hamburgers) but coffee, OJ, bagels will be for sale by the OSN. Sounds like fun. Wish I could go. Address: 22nd Ave S at 4th Street.

Chattaways is worth a long drive anytime - playful old Florida, home of many clawfoot bathtubs planted with anything that will grow, little cascading stream, pond, fish, vines, giagantic butterfly attractor plants. Picnic tables under the jacaranda & umbrellas, English tea-room inside. All contained on a small corner property. Unique, awesome. Am I exaggerating? And Old Southeast and Driftwood nearby, both on Tampa Bay, are fascinating neighborhoods.
