The news says it should be in the low 40's tonight in St Pete. Not sure what the temp was at my house last night, but there was frost on the lawn this morning. Surprisingly most of my tender plants (impatiens, bougainvillea, coleus) seem to have come through unharmed. The only things that look worse for the wear are the poinsettias, and even they didn't get it too bad. John

Went by today and bought a bag of Plant A Cote 120 day CRF with the minors in it for $63/50lbs. Not only do they also have the best price on 4CF bags of perlite, they also have 3.8 & 5CF bales of compressed peat, and 2CF bags of PINE FINES!!!! This is the first place in Pinellas County I've seen that has the fines we need to make Al's mix. Can you say ONE STOP shopping :-) Thanks John, you've done good by all of us here in Pinellas County. Thanks for the id's everyone. Carol, I have many varieties of amaryllis, some blooming, some not yet. I have Exotic Star and St. Joseph's blooming now. Moonlight, apple blossom, joker, bolero, san antonia rose and red lion not even a stalk yet. There's a peach colored one at the entrance to my subdivision which was blooming months ago, before any of mine even had a single stalk. Weird isn't it? Lori

Oh, rats! I missed this one - that's what I get for letting my new motorcycle obsession overtake my planty obsession, lol. :-\ Would have been a straight shot up the highway to Oak Grove, too! Dang... Anyway, I have a couple of mystery short daylilies needing a home that I've posted in the Exchanges if anybody locally is interested, would really like to trade for a solid deep red daylily that I'm seeing bloom right now, or a Red Ribbons spider daylily. Webkat, I sure wish I'd been to the swap - sounds like it was great! I still have stuff I haven't put in the ground yet, and keep finding purple ruffles basil that I am still freecycling that I sure could have brought in, along with hopi red dye amaranth seedlings, lol.
