These are daylily pics from last summer. Hope you enjoy them. For some reason, the names didn't show, so in order, Royal Occasion, Twins-- Sm. World Snow Owl, clump shot==South Seas, Jean Swann, Forsyth Flaming Snow, Buttered Popcorn, Jellyroll Truffle, Princeton Silky, and Dublin Elaine. Avedon

wow, these are all very pretty..Flaming snow is very pretty and Buttered Pop corn is, too.Thank you for postine these. I am hving real daylily dedpression now,and cant wait for spring to get here. we have a long wait, as winter hasn't started yet.

Thanks, Jean, I am strictly a beginner at doing this, and I see I must downsize the photos and learn how to put on the captions. I will send more soon. Avedon

Julia, absolutely DO NOT PUT ANYTHING ON YOUR ELECTRIC FENCE!!! When the power is on, it will burn it or ground it at that point where contact is made. (I hope I have this right.) We have to be vigilant and check the wires to keep them free of anything. We have some daylily foliage very close to the wires, and these will burn if they touch. We go in and clip them back if this happens. When you do your fence, try to keep this in mind. Try to keep them away from the plants as much as possible so there will be little chance of this happening. Unfortunately, our setup means we have to watch the plants that are close to the perimeter, and do our best to keep them away from the wires. Next year, we will be in the process of evaluating a number of the d.lilies and other plants in there to see what should stay and what should go. We might be able to move some things more into the middle and away from those lines. The moonflowers you see in the pics are planted on an old barbed-wire fence that we have never taken down--probably should do that some day. We try to start seeds in April or May and get them in the ground when they are growing good. We have a trellis in the middle of the Main Garden and the moonflowers are grown there,(and on the old fence.) Usually, by the middle of August into Sept. it is pretty well covered with vines, and it's wonderful when the flowers bloom. In the evening, the nighthawk moths come in to pollinate the flowers, and it's fun to watch them, they look like hummingbirds. We also grow tuberoses and they bloom about the same time, so in the evening the fragrance is tremendous. Avedon

They are all very nice. You got a very good clump shot of SS.Always a favorite here. Dublin Elaine has a nice soft color to it. Does it always double for you?

Julia, Dublin Elaine has always doubled for us, even this last summer which was so bad with the heat and drought. We think it will always earn its space here. Avedon

A wonderful selection of beautiful daylilies! My favorites are the South Seas clump, Forsyth Flaming Snow and the Small World Snow Owl twins. It was very enjoyable to look at these. Thanks a bunch!

Hurray, daylily pictures. They look fantastic. Makes us all remember how nice it was during bloom season. I declare them all my favorites, especially SOUTH SEAS.

I love the big pictures Avedon. I know its hard for those on dial up but it just makes all the gorgeous lilies that much prettier! I love the clump shot in the third pic and the yellow one right before it. Makes me miss summer! Judy

Great pics. I too like the large pictures, but I guess it is troublesome if you don't have high speed internet.
Thanks for posting such great ones. The only one I have is South Seas, your shot of it is so pretty.
