mixing peaches and strawberries?

Made this as a jam and now have lots of hazelnut liqueur to use up, plus I loved the taste. Problem is I can't find decent bluberries but did find, (oddly enough) some nice looking CA strawberries. What do you think about subbing strawberries for blueberries? Annie and I were discussing this and she thinks it would taste great but look brown, not so good. What do you guys think? Anyone have any experience mixing strawberries and peaches in jam? I know raspberries makes peach melba, but I don't like the seeds in raspberries.

Hazelnut Blueberry Mango Sauce

2 mangoes, peeled and diced

2 cups fresh or frozen unsweetened blueberries

1 cup granulated sugar

1 cup apple juice or water

2 T. lemon juice

1 tsp. grated lemon rind

2 T. hazelnut liqueur or 1 1/2 tsp. almond extract

Combine all but liqueur in a large on-reactive pan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 25 minutes or until fruit has softened and liquid has thickened. Stir in liqueur and cook 5 minutes.

BWB 10 minutes for half-pint jars and 15 minutes for pints.

Yields 4 half-pints.

Variation: Substitute 8 nectarines or peeled peaches for the mangoes.
