turnovers?

I still have a lot of apples, some are really nice tart ones that hold up well to canning. I've dried some, frozen some, made slices and applesauce, pie filling. Two more buckets to deal with :) Does anyone have any experience freezing turnovers? We rarely eat a whole pie and I do have 6 quarts of pie filling already. I searched and know you can freeze pies either cooked or raw. I guess I'm looking for a method. Lori
