Bullion Cubes & Pressure Canned Vegetables

Ok, I have searched and searched both here on the forum and on the interwebs in general and can't find an answer to this question.

Is it safe to add a bullion cube to vegetables prior to pressure canning? For example if I am canning beans or greens-instead of adding the optional 1/2tsp salt to a pint could I pop a beef bullion cube in their instead?

I've seen bullion cubes used in lots of various pressure canning recipes-soups etc, and I've both seen it listed and used them myself in canning venison-so it seems that it SHOULD be ok. . . but since I can't find it mentioned anywhere online or in my canning books I am wondering if I am missing some danger.

Thanks-first time poster :)
