What I have learned about spring freezes

The hosta So Sweet I had to cut to the ground last year because they froze looked good later in the year.

Those same So Sweet are starting to unfurl again now and will probably get froze again, and look good by summer.

They will do it again next year and every year from now on, yet they will look lush by summer.

I learned it is easier to let them freeze and cut them back once then to cover and uncover them on every freezing night.

I look at my beautiful garden and realize this happens every year, but the plants survive and look wonderful again.
