Marble Counter: How thin is too thin for an undermount sink?

Comments (7)Hopefully it is cool I just add this to this thread. I'm just looking for input with grafting, since I have never done any before. Here is the rootstock, some kind of P. Trifoliate. This is the lowest branch to the ground. Here are two similar branches about twice the height as the lowest branch. It would be dope to graft two different varieties to these, but I believe this is higher than recommended. After researching a viable method, IMO, may be bark grafting near the lowest branch on the ground. I am just curious what others would do if they were grafting onto this tree. I was also thinking maybe I should prune the tree towards the V collar, and wait for new shoots and graft onto those. As said earlier, the budwood I can for sure use are very narrow, so with that in mind I would appreciate any and all advice. Including find some larger budwood... thanks...See MorePlanted too many pumpkin plants in container, can I thin out?
Comments (0)I purchase some pumpkin plants at my local nursery for a $1. I have no idea what type they are, I just thought it would be fun for my grandson to grow his own pumpkins for Halloween. So far they seem to be doing ok. I've been researching about care for them and discovered I have too many in the pot. How can I thin them out without killing them? I have 2 containers of them, just not sure how to proceed. Im only looking to get a few pumpkins overall. POT#1 POT#2 Its been pretty humid here and I noticed the leaves are getting the powdery mildew. I will be spraying them with the baking soda and water mixture today. Thanks in advance for any advice :)...See MoreBona Traffic HD too thin? Did my contractor use enough?
Comments (9)Bad buffing between coats (I'm assuming it didn't happen at all). The wood could certainly use another coat of Traffic HD. For $5.19/sf this is about all that is to be expected. A traditional (with oil based poly) sand/refinish job usually works out to be $5/sf. If you add in the HIGH END finishes, most refinishers will ask for another $1-$2/sf...depending on where you live. In expensive areas (like NYC, LA, Seattle, Vancouver Canada, anywhere in Canada) the $5/sf is a low estimate. In depressed areas of the USA (spitting distance to the Mexican border) the cost is much closer to $4/sf (without the upgrade). Your original quote was $4.70/sf. Which is low. What I'm seeing is what I would expect from a low(er) bid. A third coat with a BUFFING before the last coat = very nice floor. You are one coat (and a good buffing) away from a very nice floor....See Moresharonann1
