Angela, that is what I did. The prob. with it is I zip tied my tiny little lights on and have to prop up my flats until the plants are big enough. It is a huge pain. There is also really only room for 1 flat per shelf. I figured it out according to Lowes $ for lumber and the cheapest shop lights they show online and I think you could build one for around 75-80. In my opinion, by the time you purchase the shelving unit and a couple lights, you might as well do this. I think you will have much more room and it will work better as far as moving the lights up and down. Just my opinion, though. If you already have a shelving unit, it might make more sense to do that until later, but the lumber is only going to cost around 20 bucks right now, at least in my area. OSB is $6 and 2x4 or 1.77 here. I am not sure you can buy a shelving unit, even cheap plastic for that. I just need an upgrade or more room or something.

Tammy, You are so good with plants to have had all that success! I wonder if we are still doing this swap in the fall. I will try to remember what I had luck with. I should have kept a list. I have one kiwi that made it, the dragonfruit is still alive(although it is still about the size it was when it arrived), the Yukon Gold potato was a big success. Blue potato grew a few potatoes that were large enough to eat - mixed in with some grocery store ones when we ate them or else there never would have been enough, but it was fun to see what they look like! The other potatoes grew into plants, but if any potatoes at all, they were just tiny ones about a size that would fit in a teaspoon. I know someone sent some herb cuttings and those made it. A willow and pussy willow managed to get roots but died after a few weeks. This has not been one of my better years for getting plants to root and I don't know why. Seems like the weather has been more agreeable than most summers. I have taken cuttings from my own plants every few weeks and those have not been rooting either, so just an odd year. Jeanne

WOW You're not kidding !! Makes mine look tame by comparison lol. Mine grows in a straight line rather scant and prefers to climb. If I prune off the climbers it will abort the stem and start in another direction but never horizontal unless I spread them by hand . It never flowered at all until it climbed a cabbage palm at the top it flowers continuously and even occasionally on the fence now. have noted that if I trim the end of the vine it will abort the buds . No idea which type but flowers are highly reflexed scarlet. Looks nothing like Ibis pic exept the form is passiflora. In your case you probably don't have much choice but to remove it?? It's not only growing up and out and the foliage is very dense. If my new neighbors complain i'm going to remove it . I'm not particularly fond of the fruit but I love the complex flowers!! I used to have some purple and some very small pink ones but they were crowded out by the red . Think I'd clip the main stem and allow it to die down should be a LOT easier to remove?? Good luck gary
