In a recent post Gean pointed to me that if you click on a (flickr) photo posted in the forum, it brings you to the entire photosteam of the poster. If you wanted to keep the stream private, it isn't unless you change permissions. I actually don't mind that my photos can be accessed this way but out of curiosity, I started playing with private and public options and levels of access. I switched from public to private then back again. If you set formerly public pictures to private they cannot be retrieved/viewed again on the forum. This is because a new url is assigned to each pic and it must be substituted for the old ones in your original post. But you no longer have access to the original post into which you pasted the urls on the forum so you can't paste the new ones. You have to make a new post from scratch. I wish that Flickr would have a different method that would allow for non-destructive switching between public and private modes. At the least they could issue a warning before you make a switch.

I just posted this by grabbing the html code on Flicker and copy and pasting it into the text. You get to it on flicker now by clicking on the finger pointing at the box. I had a lot of problems with flicker last week with their constant changing. They pushed me into the new (sucky) BETA EXPERIENCE. Pictures are bigger but the comment space and tittle space are much small and the way to get to the HTML /BBC code is much more convoluted and enigmatic. But I couldn't get to them at all because when I clicked on the cute finger pointing at he box thing, it brought up a box but it was hidden behind the photo. I could just see its edge. I did complain to flicker and they did fix it. It took a couple of days. Now I go to that box and it pulls up a window with some weird symbols that make no sense but through experimentation and deductive reasoning I realize that the symbols mean html and bbc. One is a tac and I can't remember the other already. They are not intuitive examples of graffics. Yesterday I woke up and I found myself back in the old Flicker. So they got that part of the complaint tooâ¦..Or maybe it was all a bad dream. I went to frequently asked questions on their help line and described my problem in a email form that they had, and they did get to it. I can't remember how I found the help line. I get lost on sites and sometimes I get lost right but I would not know how to get back there. All these changes to the worse is making me anxious and down right beeetchy. I was thinking of going to Flickriver. Apple is doing this dumbing down action too. They are screwing up all their software.

"how do you keep perlite from falling out of the tower when you are filling it up thanking you" This is why I use the foam plugs. The tower on my patio was built up like this... I first washed and trimmed all the roots of the strawberry plants as they came from the nursery. Then put them into the foam plugs and then into all the holes. Then poured the perlite in till it covered all the roots + a few inches. Then poured water in slowly till the whole column was saturated and began running out the bottom. After it quit dripping I poured in the extra again just to make sure all the perlite was saturated well. You want to make sure you do this fast enough if it's warm so that the roots don't dry out. It seemed to have worked ok since all the plants are coming to life. You're welcome! Grizzman it was you who suggested I use a media so if the pump went out my plants wouldn't all die? I thought I would use perlite in a few with drip emitters and misters in a couple to see if any difference...

Thank you! Photobucket answered and said it was something to do with Adobe that they are trying to fix. In the meantime they said to use Moxilla, and it seems to work, but I already loaded into flickr, so I will try that too! Very kind of you, DD, I appreciate it!
