Halcyon has looks that just don't get old. I have two plants, When I was starting I didn't know about splitting plants can slow them down.. well one half of the split has been covering the ground around the size of a pizza pan.. it looks nice though, all season. The other has been stuck on producing about 3-6 leaves, disappointing. however this year the one eye (so far) is very large, and it has one leaf that is far larger than the bigger plants leaves. As for Stained Glass, It doesn't start out as fancy as it gets, it appears very fine and easily damaged.. But it never fails to pour on the looks ... Mine always gets to a point where I am pausing when I walk by it. Even though mine is not that old yet ... two years ago it had one leaf on the plant that was the best in the whole yard. Oh, wow! I WISH mine were that far along! I just can't wait to have a tomato sandwich! What kind are you growing? I'm growing some of the seed I had from old trades. Brandywine Sudduth's Strain Delicious Green Zebra Kellogg's Breakfast Better Boy Hybrid I really wanted to try Mortgage Lifter and Jet Star. Also going to try the Florida Weave method this year. I cannot wait to see how that works out!

I don't think I'm getting this chandelier. I was in lust with the one at Mecox garden but not this one. I think it has to do with the scale & design. Something seems off a/b it. I totally would run to buy it if the scale is better, the details are finer, and the branches are more dense. This one just look a bit clumsy. I usually don't mind if things are trendy or not. Come to think a/b it, all the things in that inspirational picture are out: stained wood Spanish style table? out. Chinese Chippendale chairs: so yesterday. Coral? seen at Target. LOL

Your quilt is really pretty - glad your cute kitty likes it, too! Your pie looks great! My DH and DS love pecan pie, but not me - it is just too sweet. Before DH retired, HE made pecan pies for his customers for a Christmas gift ... was up to 150 pies by the time he retired!!! Clients started asking in July if he was going to make pies again (also a family recipe!). I very seldom helped, but DS helped chop pecans! Our pecan prices were lower this year (at Sams Club) than in the past few years so I stocked up and have several bags in the freezer. Sue
