Sky Vine Problem (thunbergia grandiflora)

I just bought a skyvine last week, because of the tropical

storm Debbie I kept it in my shed for about 5 days. Two

days ago I repotted it into a much larger container with

good soil including some perlite and gave it a lot of water. Yesterday it was a typical 90 degree day here in

Southwest Florida. The plant seemed to wilt maybe from the

heat, or overwatering. It got morning sun until noon. Today it looked real bad with almost all of the leaves turning brown. I ended up cutting it way back to where the plant is now only about 5 inches tall. Does anyone know what might have happened or what I should do to save

this plant.

Thanks
