Susie-Great pictures! I especially like the plumeria. I have never had any luck with them but do currently have two that I am patiently waiting for to bloom!

Denise-I have Carnation too but it isn't in bloom right now. Love your Daylilies, I only have one NOID but it blooms on and off all summer and puts out lots of "pups". Here is a picture of it -

June - Alot of the plants I grow were inspiration from seeing pictures others posted here. There is a great crowd of enablers here!

I saw this thread last evening and jumped up and bolted to the garden with my camera. I hope you enjoy these as much as I have enjoyed yours.

Got this one At the Fall USF Sale. I am fairly sure it is not Soncy. Soncy is yellowish. This is cream with pink guard petals and has a great scent. It is climbing and nearly thornless. From a small $6.00 band last fall to a good sized plant with several 10 foot canes.

Acadian Spring tm hybrid hibiscus. Love these but have to hold back. I am concentrating on veggies and my beloved roses for now.

My Natchez rose has some blooms, but she doesn't like the heat either! Other than that I have a couple hoyas producing blooms, ground orchids and boring old crown of thorns for year round color. I had a volunteer impatient pop up in another container plant but I checked her today and don't think she's going to be staying long!

Gardening in the summer is like earth aerobics: I don't feel guilty skipping the gym!

so many beautiful things! we were away for a week (and the rains came!!! :) made everything very happy!) Daylilies are even making their 'reblooms'...zinnia are going crazy. Passion vine is blooming; penta, blue pea vine, firebush, hibiscus, mandevilla, ohhh...and, how can I forget??? Brugs!!! they're loaded with buds...also night blooming jasmine has buds. Indian blanket, buttercup, crepe jasmine and jatropha. Has anyone figured out how to get the duranta to keep blooming those cascades of purple? I'm only getting the occassional flower. Oh...forgot to mention the little rain lily!! It's the cutest thing....has set some fat pods that look like they're gonna burst. blue daze...what a pretty burst every morning! Do caladium get flowers???? I have one with the weirdest looking..... thing! :)

Beth, Yes, caladiums have flowers. Snap them off and that will keep the energy in the bulbs and that will help them to divide and spread. Love, love love, rainlilies. Mine are reblooming great now that they are very crowded and I keep them dead headed. Duranta needs to be severely pruned. So if it is a tree form, cut out all the lower shrubby stuff and trim the top very hard. If it is shrubby then hack away. I find them too much work for the payoff myself. I found out about the response to hard pruning because I hacked it back in preparation to removal and, behold,... a glorious blooming thing has shown up.

Imatallun Great screen name! Love that large cupped purslane. I have it in the pink and white, too. Both plants have overwintered for three years. Well worth the cost and they have responded very well to foliar feeding for me.
