I'd be interested in knowing this as well since I also have two different varieties of buttercups. Where did you get your white buttercup. I have one that was given to me by a friend but I'd really like to have some more. None of the store I've been to recently seem to sell white buttercups.

The white buttercup is turnera trioniflora and the yellow is turnera ulmifolia. According to Dave's Garden, t. trioniflora is the one called Cuban Buttercup.

And, of course, neither one is an actual buttercup, just to confuse matters even more! Thank goodness for Latin names, sometimes, just to be sure everyone is talking about the same plant.

I like both of these plants, btw, and have had good luck with them.

i picked up the white one when i was visiting family in key west. they have a nursery that has a nice selection and all the proceeds go to the local special needs school. i picked up 2 plants and they were $3 each. they have grown in well and are happy. i also picked up a nice size frangipani for $6. this must have been in february. and already both are blooming and very happy.

the yellow have just popped up outta nowhere. and i love freebies so im keeping my fingers crossed that they'll keep coming in...

so neither is an actual buttercup??? hahaha ... of course.
