Today I bought a weighted guage 22 qt Mirror PC at a rummage sale for $25. It has everything from the original sales receipt from...'83? to the booklet and two racks, even the little Betty Crocker endordsment tag! The gasket is flexible, but I do plan to replace that. it looks used, but clean.

Oh, and I got a pasta roller with three attachments for another $11. A good sale for me! (Now I just have to remember to use the pasta maker.)

Wheee! I'm happy!

Wow! What luck that you stopped at that rummage sale. Not only was that a really good price for a used 22 qt. pressure canner, but to have all the accessories and booklet with it is hard to beat. Oh, and on the pasta maker, hope you do better than I have. I bought one summer before last off Ebay and still haven't used it. Bad me. I'm happy for you.

What a great buy! You may not need to replace the gasket (depending upon storage conditions). Always have a back-up but also do a test run with the original.

Oh, do I have the tile for you! :o) Ours isn't yet installed, but check out Walker Zanger's "Gramercy Park." It's 2x6, crackled, creamy, and has a hand-made look. You can see it in mamadadapaige's kitchen in the Finished Kitchen Blog, or at the link below. I ordered mine from International Bath and Tile in San Diego. Woo Hoo!! Congrats!
I love a good find like that.

My best (so far....LOL) is my Victorio Strainer for $5.00.
I've bought attachments for it that cost more!

I just bought a pasta roller off Ebay and used it for the first time last weekend. Easy, almost no clean up, and makes beautiful whole wheat fettucine noodles.
Try it!!

Don't you LOVE rummage sales? My second favorite way to accumlate expensive items is Freecycle.

A quick suggestion for the pasta machine. If you have a bread machine with a dough setting, use that to knead the dough. It is a HUGE time, wrist and hand saver and works beautifully!
