YES!! I made one, decorated with sea shells, painted all white, lotsa candles in round globes - and have absolutely NOWHERE to hang it. Got no where to hang the blue gourd lamps, either. I'll sell either (one chandelier or two hanging gourd lamps) for $50 + S & H. I have two more chandelier waiting to be 'transformed'. cora

I bought it at Lowes (or HD?) on there sale table for $10. It originally was a brownish-metal color. Kinda boring and not what I was looking for.

The first step was removing all the wires. Pretty easy task but time consuming. Make sure you save all the nuts, washers and bolts.

This unit actually had a large bottom piece that I removed as I wanted a small chandelier. So, I used a shorter tube close the gaps. I hung it outside for a while trying to figure out how to best use it with candles - a little trial and error process to get the final results.

Then I spray painted it white from some leftover can of paint I had. I bought 2 pkgs of chandelier crystals (most expensive part of the process).

The hardest part was modifying the candlabra piece to hold a candle or tea light.

It was a fun little project. I enjoyed working on it.

Wonderful! I love it. What a great mood setter, especially with a glass of wine, a margarita, a beer or what have you. Enjoy, and thanks for sharing, it's great inspiration. I have a couple of chandeliers sitting around waiting for me to do something with.

Fantastic job! So, how DID you get the candle globes to stay put? I used Velcro, thinking it would allow for clean-out of the globes. Wish I had a tree to hang mine in.

Very nice! I love how it looks at night all lit up and during the days I bet those crystals act a prisms and throw little rainbows all over the garden. Isn't amazing how easy it is to take something that other people pass over as unappealing and turn it into something that they would love to have?! All it takes is a little imagination and the ability to see somethings full potential. I'm constanyly on the look out for things to make into garden art. Looking forward to seeing what else you come up with!

I picked up a "brass" chandilier from the side of the road and can't figure out what to do with it. I've almost set it BACK out on my curb. I just don't have a place to put it! If you are in Tampa and you want it...it's yours. All you have to do it pick it up.

If you don't have a tree conveniently located to hang it from, you can stick a large shepherds hook into a pot for height.
