Wow! Nice coloring. I like Tropicana and Bengal Tiger for their foliage. There is one that looks like a Banana due to the size of it's leaves, I would love to have.

Thanks TF! I think the Pretoria I have is also called Bengal Tiger. Large light green/cream striped leaves. It will get to about 4 feet or so. Orange flower. I like Tropicana too. Really I don't think there are any I don't like. lol! I don't have any pink ones though so I am keeping an eye out for one. There is a small pond/swale that I pass on my evening walk with the dog. There are the prettiest yellow canna growing in there! The yellow is so bright and true. I wish it wasn't such a nasty mud pit to wade through to snag some! I'm afraid of stepping on broken glass or something in there.

Yes, I also find their colorations and leave patterns very interesting and beautiful. I have several but am not sure what they are until they bloom again. I acquired them at plant swaps. Linda

Yes, I love Cannas and yes, the leaf rollers are a perpetual pain! They've been doing a number on my BOP, too. How do you get rid of them? cora

I love 'em too! I take care of the leaf rollers and the rust but cutting them down to the ground and starting over when they get too raggedy looking.

Cliff the one your talking about is canna musafolia...I have some for you! I have mine in a shady spot and so far they've not come close to the 12 feet Northerners' musafolia's get!

Cliff, have you ever used the Bayer Advanced for lawn fugus to control the rust of cannas? Since it works on plumerias I thought it might work on cannas too...Anyone?

Cora, I know the leaf rollers can be such a problem for some but fortunately I have not had a big problem with them. I'm sorry you have. If you look on the Canna Forum here on GW they will probably have great suggestions for you.

I think that is indica canna. Indica canna has small flowers that have a different shape then the others. More like a gladiola's flower.

Very pretty thak you for the insparation.. I recently put in a bed that I like to call my "canna corner" .. I have several varieties that are really taking off. Ill see if I can get some pics Leafrollers what do they do? I havent experienced them yet at least I dont think I have.
