if i had to guess... 1) not enough sun; 2) not enough patience (plants have to get quite large to support fruit production); 3) inappropriate cultivars (very important here).

Have you had your soil tested ?
Several reasons come to mind for leggy growth and no fruit set -

too much nitrogen
not enough sun
poor soil
wrong pH in soil
compost needed for added soil fertility
not enough calcium
fertilizing too little or not often enough
not having consistent water levels- to much water can cause leggy plants
fertilizer not available for plant uptake due to poor pH or soil composition
wrong cultivars planted
seeds planted that are not appropriate for Florida soils

Even something as simple as the depth at which a seed is planted can make some plants become leggy .
" Variable planting depth can result in problems such as "leggy" plants."

Don't give up . Keep trying using different techniques and you will figure it out . No one ever said gardening in Florida was easy and this season certainly proves that !

Why not ask somone with experience to come over and look at your garden. I am sure people from this forum would be glad to assist if they can. Alternatively go see someones sucessful garden, you might identify your problems if you compare.

Things may not be so bad, if after only 2 months you have some veggies ready to pick.

What are you fertilizing with. Could be too much nitrogen.

I would also guess too much nitrogen or not enough potassium or phosphorus based on your description of healthy leafy growth but blossoms not setting fruit.

Keep in mind that with some of the plants you mention, they get male flowers long before they get any female flowers that will actually set fruit.

Since this is Florida and phosphorus is rarely deficient, I will probably suggest spraying with some seaweed extract like maxicrop to boost the potassium and trace nutrients and other good stuff and be patient, sounds like the fruit is starting to come on and as we go into the next few weeks the moon will be good for above ground crop growth.

Some plants like peppers take a very long time to set fruit.

I am too thinking I might have issues with nitrogen, calcium, and poor ph...what would be anyone's recommendation for these issues?

I thought I would update, Thanks for all the responses. My peppers are still doing well and giving me a big crop. Still going strong even now. Also, my 3 varities of eggplants did well also. I still have more to harvest in the next few weeks. My cucumbers died as well as my summer squash (mildew) and...

my tomatoes got really really infested with aphids and some green worms of some kind along with my cherry tomatoes splitting...have to read some more on the tomato forum to figure out tomatoes more.

My cucumber plant had an okra plant in it so I was able to have the surprise of some really nice okra, and my strawberries are growing, but no fruit yet! They are still going strong though.

I will do my fall garden in Sept. and see how it does in the fall. I am planning to throw in some worm casings this time, as well as sea kelp, and a few bags of cow manure and garden soil. I will add in some 6-6-6 to get some nutrients back in.

Please let me know if I am leaving anything out here! :) TY

I want to cover with plastic for a few weeks, but since the okra, eggplant, and strawberries are doing so well I am not quite sure how to get rid of anything bad in the soil, have to think about that a bit more.

The tomato forum is great but gives advice for the entire country . Why not try looking at a Florida source for info at soultionsforyourlife.com or other strictly Florida sites ?
Since you are in zone 10 , you have gardening issues that much of the rest of the nation does not experience .

Most tomato varieties won't set fruit if nighttime temperatures are above 70. Also the high humidity clumps the pollen together so it doesn't disperse.
Small cherry or wild currant tomatoes are the exception. They will set fruit during zone 10 summers, but they too prefer the dry, cooler season.
Plant some seeds in August, or buy plants in October ready to plant. Also plant some in February. You can protect the young plants from frost if necessary.
Eggplants love the heat and should be producing well now.
Squash and cukes absolutely hate the high humidity of this time of year.
My experience with peppers is that they produce best if they are mature plants during the spring and fall. They have fruit during the summer too, but really come back strong in the fall.
Maxicrop (kelp seaweed) is really wonderful stuff for getting more fruit. Go easy on the nitrogen.

annettem, you are just late with your garden IMHO. My cukes are gone and I am still getting some tomatoes. The larger varieties are still blooming but do not set fruit in this unbearable heat and humidity. The sweet 100's plant is about to go. Sweet Chelsea is still setting some fruit. Getting lots of okra (thanks Tom)and peppers. Eggplant is growing but it really got a late start because my earlier ones got eaten by muskrat.

I'm a Jan 7 th birthday and my year was 37, not going to ask you your year though :>)
