If you don't want neighbors to hate you....

DON'T plant a Kapok tree!

Yes, it's a gorgeous & majestic tropical - BUT - our upwind neighbor's is currently covering our yard ( the next 1 over as well) w/ the fiber puffs for the 2nd week in a row - so thick it looks like snow (grr!) I was out in the yard working yesterday & cursing that darn tree the whole time - the fibers are floating loose in the air & stuck all over me - my eyes, nose & mouth & clothes (so glad I was wearing a hat) were covered w/ tiny, almost invisible ticklish, clingy strands like spiderwebs. & all our herbs, fruits & veggies are choked w/ clots of the infernal stuff as well.

Not to mention each puff has a seed in the center - one seedling from last year is growing out of our roof tiles - hubby pulled it twice & it either regrew or a new 1 sprouted there.

Of course, there's barely any landing in the neighbor's yard...

P.S. I don't really hate our neighbors (they just bought the house last year w/ the tree already established - it's humongous)I don't think they're even in town right now.
