Comments (83)Angel Face, I got a surprise when I saw jasmine blooms in our home in India last month. I planted these 4 jasmine plants almost 17 years back when I was in India after that I rarely saw them bloom. This time I stayed long enough observe these Jasmines and one of the Jasmine flower looks almost same as your Jasmine plant (pictures on your June 19, 2015 posting), Here are the pictures Below are pictures of other Jasmines Not sure of the variety/cultivar name, Flowers from this Jasmine is little different than the flowers from above posted Jasmine and also leaves look different as well. This seems to be Arabian Jasmine I think this is Madurai Malli From Left to Right 1. Not sure of the variety 2. Arabian Jasmine 3. Madurai Malli 4. I think Jasmine flower similar to the one you have...See MoreJasminum mali pikul
Comments (75)Tini, to clarify.. they are all different flowers.. the 3 layered flower you have holding is called Dontara malli.. Belle of India that does not have the really long stem that you see here is Pandiri malli.. Bondu malli is Grand duke. These are Telugu names for Various Jasmines. But there are other varieties as you know here, available from other parts of the world. The Mallichat which is really a small flower, Malipikul which has 2 layers and has a lotus like appearence. Then there is Grand Duke supreme , a really large flower . Arabian nights jasmine is also a slightly different flower. And you know the regular J. sambac and Jasmine Mysore mulli/J.multipetals..The belle of India flower I see here is a larger flower than the Belle of India i saw in India. Hope this helps. If you want cuttings then I have Grand duke, Belle of India and Jasmine sambac, mysore mulli to offer..GDS and Malichat and Mali pikul are small to cut now, but I can in 6 months or so Radha....See MoreBlooming in June 2017
Comments (57)I am envious of all of these amazing sambacs. I've only killed mine. I think it's too cold st night here or something. Alas. Dar, I've had Chlidanthus fragrans for several years and still no flowers. I keep it in the greenhouse, which is warmer but less sunny than outside. Any hints for getting into bloom? Maybe I need to douse it with more fertilizer or give it more sun. My trachelospermum is doing well tho. We are selling this house, unfortunately, and I will truly miss this plant, among others. Lilium pricei First flowers for the year on the Plumeria. And my Antirhinum hispanicum which smells like honeysuckle....See Morekemistry
