it's a blurry picture, but I can see from the colour of the leaves that it's fine. It will need a larger pot eventually. How long have you had the plant? It probably needs some tropical food and like many tropical plants should have indirect sunlight exposure. However do not fertilize a newly transplanted plant. Wait til it's well established before doing so.

Dizzy, Do you have a spot outside that receives afternoon shade? The jasmine you have will appreciate a little shade in the hot afternoon. I would put it outside. Do you want to keep it in a pot, or plant it in the ground and dig it up in October and bring it in? If you want to keep in a pot, you are going to have to bump it up in size a bit, not too big, just a size or two bigger. Change the soil too. Check out the roots when you take it out of the exsisting pot, see if the are circling a lot around the outside of the soil when you take it put of the pot. If they are, get a sharp knife and gently cut the roots a little all the way around the bottom of the soil before you put it in your new pot with your new soil. By cutting the roots, this will encourage the roots to grow into the new soil in its new pot. You water your plant when it needs it. Stick your finger down into the soil as far as you can, see if it is moist. If now, water it. The hotter it is, the more often your pot will need soil. Good luck with your new vine, it will be fine.

Amongst other plants,Basically any xeric plant.Blackfoot daisy, penstemon cobaea, P. baccharis, P. triflorus, Calylophus berlandeiri, 4 nerve daisy, Callirhoe involcrata, Salvia texana , Salvia lindheimerii, Yucca pallida, Yucca rupicola or any low yucca or agave like Afave lophantha splendid. I love a short texas native called parralena AKA Dysodia pentacheta, damianita (Chrysactina mexicana) Snake broom weed. I am drawing from the Texas bank of millions that grow well in my neck of the woods but I guess there will be many different ones that do well where you are. Hesperaloe parviflora is a Texan so I just listed what grows around it.

Yuma has a major farming community and a desalinization plant. But aside from commercial agriculture, tons of native plants grow in southern Arizona. You should visit sometime (though I'd perhaps recommend Bisbee or Tucson over Yuma. Sorry Yuma.) Considering this is just a thought experiment, look into the Hopi tribe sometime. They grow apricots and peaches, among many other plants, in the high desert with almost no water.
