A Murphy intro, CHERRY PIE, new last fall is a big hit with me this year. One of my late bloomers.

My favorite of the Pail Owen Selected Seedlings that I bought. Next to last flower.

NO BLUE OXFORDS has been the best bloom machine in the garden this summer. This is one of the 2nd rebloom scapes.

WESTBOURNE ORANGES FOR CHRISTMAS starts blooming late so its going strong now.

HARVEST HOUSE, one of my new 2010 Culvers, had twin blooms.

It must be the forum, but where your pic should be, I'm just seeing the word photobucket....DRATS I wanna see your pretties! I've seen W. Oranges for Christmas so I know its a beauty. Guess I'll have to check back later, maybe it's a photobucket problem.

Hi, I am very interested in seeing the A x B and B x A crosses as I am still trying to find out if the pod and pollen parent gives certain characteristics to the offspring. I have heard that the face(ie flower form) comes from one parent and the plant structure comes from the other but I can't remember which way. Maybe you will see this in your seedlings, especially the ones that come from crosses done both ways. Lets see those photos! Debbie

Mantis, I will have to get back to you on Good Impressions rebloom. I know it doesn't rebloom anywhere the way Happy Returns does. Julia, I have wondered if our orange double NOID was Peach Magnolia, but the scape height has never achieved 32" as listed by AHS nor have any of the flowers been 5.5 inches. It is a dormant diploid, but I would say the bloom season for us is early, not MLA. The thing is, growing conditions from place to place can vary greatly, so anything is possible. I would love to be able to definitely name it, but probably won't happen. Glad everybody likes E. Esmerelda, sure wish the color had come out the way it looks here, which I would describe as Raspberry Red, really striking. I appreciate all your comments and interest. Avedon

Thank you Mantis.yes, I will change that label later, I don't know what happened for me to put the wrong name on it. Had my mind elsewhere I guess.it surprised me when looking at preview and seen wrong name on it. debra, thank you for commenting. yea, these 3 are great bloomers, China bride had 3 or 4 rebloom scapes growing too,. I only see one rebloom scape on Beautiful edgings and I had 7 last year. 7 scapes,and 7 rebloom scapes last year.Was the same thing with wonder of it all, too. 7 scapes that bloomed then 7 rebloom scapes too.This year it has about 15 or so fans in that pot,and it had 14 scapes, but, so far, only 4 rebloom scapes.beautiful Edgings was the same thing, last year it had 7 scapes that bloomed then 7 rebloom scapes, too. Hey Banana fun, If you were in the area I'd just give you some. I have more than a few...But these days, I'd be a bit paraniod to mail them...A local tree farmer gave me some red ones over the winter. Do a google search for them or try www.jhusdsonseeds.net. Swmcduff, They are poisonous. Terriorist use the seeds to make ricin - no cure. Some people drop seeds in mole tunnels to reduce their population...Personally, I wouldn't be too worried about growing castor beans unless you have small children. Even then, trimming off the flowering seed pods should do the trick. There are therapudic(sp) uses so I hear. Castor beans aren't the only poisonous plant out there. wow, These are so pretty. CHERRY PIE looks huge, and its gorgeous. and ORANGES FOR CHRISTMAS is a bright one.Very pretty.I think my favorite one is that seedling..I really like that one.

Cherry Pie does look huge, I really like that. Oranges for Christmas looks good too, and I like No Blue Oxfords. Ok, as usual, I like them all, can't pick a favorite from these.

All very pretty Rita and I think my favorite is Cherry Pie too. Oranges for Christmas almost looks like it has a sheen to it. Trying my best to grab all the Westbournes I can afford thanks to your beautiful pictures. Shame on you!! Just kidding. Judy
