Best thing is to get a pod or 2 growing on that scape. Leave the prolif (that's what it's called...the little plant) attached until the scape turns brown.

When that happens cut of the the scape 2-3" below and above the prolif and using the cut scape as a holder insert the prolif into some soil with the bottom of the prolif just under the soil line and water well so the soil is always moist. Put in a shady area and hope for roots to grow if they haven't already grown some while it's still attached to the mother plant.

Others soak in water in a glass changing it as needed until roots develope.
