more blooms today-several pics

Here are some more that are blooming today.

Second bloom on HURRICAN SWIRLS. I know that it isn't suppose to "swirl" with the first few blooms but I do like the nice rich color.

Another new one for me this year - FFO on MT HERMAN WIZARD. Opened well and I can't wait to see blooms once it settles in for a season.

An oldie but goodie for me - (Mercer/1992) that is not a screaming orange but catches the eye none the less.

SHERBERT AND CHERRIES

another disappointment as this one blooms way down in the foliage for me. UPPERMOST EDGE is a pretty bloom, I just wish it would come out of the shadows.

And last but not least is WINEBERRY CANDY - all candy seems to draw ants and this one is no exception. I love the coloring of this flower and it is one of my favorite of the candy series.

Beautiful daylilies and photos - thanks for sharing! I've noticed a lot of ants on many of my daylilies this year too - and I don't even have any candies.

Can't wait to see later blooms of HS, Shelly. All are very nice...I too, love WC as I do most of the candy series. Thanks for sharing.

Izhar, the nice thing about Ledebouria, Drimia, Drimiopsis is that they are so easy to bloom even in the house often times so if you can find some I'm sure you would have no problem at all growing them and flowering them in large numbers!! vetivert, I always think of the Boophane as architectural so it is nice to see others think the same way!! I'm afraid that I am unfamiliar with Ungeria so did not comment on that post, but is is an interesting new plant I had not heard of. Glad you liked them Sue :o) Dan

Julia; You must get farther on the uploading then I do.mine never starts to upload,I could handle slow if I had to,I just want it to start doing some thing.No problems last year at all,and I about gave up with the drop way, too, yesterday evening. LINDA;Thank you, the photo of Ebb Tide is much lighter in color then it really is, for some reason.Its a very dark purple rose,and will be until hot summer gets here, then it shows more redish color in hot weather. Rick....it's as good as done..;o) Well, I do water constantly, so I guess that's helped, but unfortunately, I haven't had nearly as many blooms as I should have had. I love to share them when possible. Juliet...Both LF and RN are new arrivals in my garden. Hopefully next season will be a better one for dl's and they will really show me what they can do. Thanks all for the comments. MOONLESS NIGHT is a favorite of mine and I'm thinking all the rain we had and cooler than normal temps have kept the scapes on it shorter than normal. The first 3 blooms were really splotchy. Now with the heat we've had, its starting to show better. SOVEREIGN QUEEN will have a place here definitely. AZTEC GOLD is an oldie -Dennett 1936- but the buds and scaping are definitely worth having. Unlike some plants that scaped short this year, this one is at 3ft tall. Same as last year. Very tall. I think I may move a clump over to Brown Witch as I think they will play off of each other nicely. BTW, NO RAIN today. Yippee and we are in the 80's. Maybe the whinning thing does work. Julia

Beautiful shots, Shelly!
My favorite is 'Uppermost Edge'. I bet it will look spectacular next year after it settles in.
I have some ants, but what is worse is when I go out in the morning and find a whole family of earwigs snuggled in the throat of a daylily!
