Comments (8)You can get Jasmine at Bhatia Nursery in NJ (http://yourfavoriteplants.com). Lowes in Woodbridge NJ had Jasmine plant. I bought Jasmine plant from Gasko nursery last sunday and if you live in edison nj the farmers market on route 27 near wood avenue also has them. Your best bet to get Indian mogra is from bhatia's nursery And yes they survive in NJ. I have Jasmine that I have for last 3 years. I take it inside when it starts to chill trim it and get it back outside when it is nice and warm (April - early may). The one that they have on route 27 in edison is pretty large and flowering. Unfortunately this year the Jasmine variety she has is only 5 petals and not the thick Mogra that we are used to in India...See MoreAlmost Eden 'Belle of India' Jasmine gamble
Comments (52)Robert, Based on my experience when a plant forms deformed buds/blooms it does not recover back to normal blooming. I had experience with 2-3 jasmine varieties. One of them I had with this issue for 2 years and I finally trashed it. Cannot give to anyone else as no one else wants a plant that does not bloom. Feel bad to trash such a healthy looking plant but due to space issue for indoor maiintenance I had to do that. Attached pics are this year blooms from logees flore plena that has double blooms similar to mysore molle and I noticed that as this variety ages the root and stem are getting stronger and blooms more....See MoreVery few blooms on my Jasmine Polyanthus(Pink Jasmine)
Comments (7)Well...purpleinopp, I did put some banana peels in my Jasmine, I usually give it Epsom Salts once every 6 weeks,1TBLSP/!GALL., and alternate it with 20-20-20 1/2 tsp and 14 drops of SCHULTZ's 10-15-10 Plant Food Plus liquid fert., every time I water!!! I should say I have it still in the 3-4 gall. container that it came in when I purchased it. I should probably re-pot it in a bigger container, it has a lot of foliage, but it's trailing on my backyard fence and I'm afraid to "disturb It" or damage It during the process. Can you tell me if I could leave it THERE...or maybe ..should I prune It later? I'll be anxious to hear from you. Thankful Annamaria...See Morekemistry
