Can you successfully overwinther a star jamine?

I'm in the midwest in zone 5b. So overwintering would be inside the house.
We went to a nursery last weekend to get the only Grand Duke Jasmine they had left. My sister saw the star jasmines. She successfully overwinters a satinwood aka murraya paniculata aka orange jasmine. Is it easier or harder to overwinter? Is it a waste of money to get a star jasmine as an annual?
