Looking for advice on trimming newly planted palms

About 2 weeks ago, my husband and I transplanted 2 coconut palms (approx.2 yrs. old) from our backyard to the front. Unfortunately we happened to choose days when the wind was really blowing. Before planting the trees into their newly dug holes, we applied an 8-4-8 palm fertilizer and I think they're going to do alright.

Here's my question-due to the heavy winds, the majority of the fronds are all hanging toward the west. The fronds look ok and the trunks are firmly in the ground. (we still have supports on them) Would it be a good idea to use twine and gather the fronds together so all their weight won't weigh them down any further?

I also planted 2 Christmas palms. (8 gal. each-inside the pots there was hardly any dirt left! All roots) How far up from the soil line would be safe to eliminate a few fronds. Both of these palms are in beautiful shape.

Again, thanks in advance and I apologise for not including photos.

Sue.
