Wow Theresa! You've been busy. I love your blog. Theresa is my good daylily buddy. Her garden is already breathtaking and it is still in its infancy. It is smack dab in the middle of some of the richest farmland on earth and the daylilies love it there! I really lie it, and it is one of those that seems to pose for pictures. Debra, those have been two of my absolute favorites this year. CK just seems to get prettier with each bloom. It is almost through with its rebloom, and I will miss it. Cindy, these just decided to rebloom. I didn't fertilize as much as usual and have yet to water the first time (but tomorrow will be that day) Rebloom is really the nicest thing, though. Nancy, LS was a bonus from Maryott, and I really like it...fun to take pictures of it. Giver HAI another year or two. Mine did very little until this year. Julia, I think folks would have passes out ecept for the casual dress and atmosphere. Ann, it is very pretty...I think it would be more purple in a cooler climate. Thank you Christine, kay

I got ROSE F. KENNEDY from Mary when it first came out- back in 2008, just after the Houston Convention if I remember correctly. Cannot tell you how many people have tried to buy it from me since then! Even several hybridizers have called long distance trying to talk me out of a piece!( this was 2-3 years ago.) It is now hopefully much better distributed than it was 4 years ago. But the garden will be on Regional tour next summer and I really wanted both of these to be nice clumps(and they are - both are about 8-9 fans or so.) Emerald Starburst rebloomed this summer- that was a first.

This seedling is way too young to register as this is its first year to bloom. Thanks, Kathy. Now, if I can just get it to do well for the next couple of years. Strawberry and strawberry cream sounds luscious - a great idea, Floota! It sounds so much more appealing than just plain "red." In the garden and on my screen, it is a brilliant red. I don't see a watermark on the sepals, either, Ed. To me, the colors on the sepals are interesting. There is a center band of red extending outward, with lighter red bands on either side. I was at a loss as to how to describe the sepals, with the yellow extension from the throat. You are right again, Ed, as it does have a darker red halo. Trying to describe it did made me realize how little I know! Duh! Nancy
