Dumortieri is know for being very early, Rita. It has a very unusual trumpet shape, it does look like a lily. Jean, I remember you talking about snakes! I've never had that problem, had to move a couple of huge frogs out last year that were eating the fish. My peonies are full of buds this year. I have a couple in bloom, Julia. I have a bright pink one blooming right next to my Daughter of Stars, really bright together. Thanks for the comments everyone, that first daylily bloom is really great :)

Techy Peach Lace and Dark Territory are my two favorites, also. I always like Inca Prince when you post it, and the 5 on 5 bloom of Dust Be Diamonds is really unusual, to say the least. I like it! I remember last year I had two plants of Peanut Butter Parfait (I think) in the oldie bed side by side, and I got up one day and had a regular bloom, a 4 on 4, and a 5 on 5 all lined up grinning at me that morning. That was probably one of the most surprising mornings I had looking at my daylilies. My son was still sleeping, and he didn't see the big deal and humor at all when I went to his door and made such a big deal that he finally got up and looked, I'm sure, just to shut me up!!! But, how often does that happen to someone?? Just some more memories from the oldies bed in the past. Sometimes, they just can't be beat by the new ones, even if the looks and edges are so much more incredible and fancy! LOL Jan G.

Thank you, Rita.FIERY MOMENT has 3 rebloom scapes loaded with buds,CHINA BRIDE is on her last scape,and I dont see any more scapes coming on it.Sure hate that,as I love this daylily.I did find a couple rebloom scapes coming on ALL FIRED UP. Its out in the bed I call a jungle garden,since I have daylilies, roses,marigolds,and Zinnia's in it,Oh and one AFRICAN DAISEY PLANT in the mix.I had to pull some of the marigolds out as it was just too crowded. Then this evening I found 2 more rebloom scapes coming on CONDILLA.It was beautiful all summer with double blooms. NAT.yep,I am very happy for a reblooml, and MS BLACKIE is going to be where ever I am at any where in that yard, NANCY. The heat wasn't bothering Ms BLACKIE today very much,as it was early and had not gotten that hot yet.When its real hot out and I have to go water in the late evening, she follows behind me,and after I have watered heavy in a few spots,she waits till the water soaks up a little so its not a puddle there,then she gos and lays down where I watered at, with her tummy on the ground and front and back feet straight out.Guess she finds it cooler like that for awhile.,Shes a lot of company for me,as she stays very close to me.and when she first came here, she was starving and skinny and I could not get no closer then 20 feet from her.Now,there is no way I can get 20 feet away from her.Shes a little doll,and so loveing. Christine- There is lots of great info on Karols website. The ones listed as instant rebloomers and rebloomers up there will surely do so at your location. Emmeriches are SUCH great doers in my garden here that I just keep getting more and more of them. And I am north of you on Long Island, while Kay is way south of you. Those Emmeriches just do fabulously for both of us. I am a member of a midatlantic e-mail daylily group and just about everyone on it has Emmeriches.
