Wow, I love that Bewitching Eyes and Sc Peach Fringe. It rained here yesterday and is hot and muggy here too. My father-in-law used to say " it's close". I do have some late bloomer coming on but for the most part, everything else has bloomed. I am going to be in your neck of the woods this week-end. I am going to my dayghters in Lakeside Park, Ky.

I haven't been on the forum in a long while, and I will definitely have some catching up to do if some areas are going into lates already! We had the first sunny weekend here in over a month, and things are finally starting to eek out, but nothing is opening well and colors are a bit funny. Send some of your heat our direction! Your blooms are beautiful, and I especially liked Bewitching Eyes and Techny Peach Lace. Congrats on the rebloom too. There has to be something good about suffering incliment weather!

Debra, I am really glad to hear of your getting lots of rewbloom. It means the pictures and the fun will continue. Your ROSY RHINO looks great, mine could never manage to stay clean. I really like DARK TERRITORY and CATHERINE NEAL. INCA PRINCE too. I guess I am in the mood for color today.

I love the huge 'Dust Be Diamonds' poly - gorgeous, a real double-take bloom. And of course I love 'Inca Prince' with those warm tones. We've been quite wet up here this summer, but unlike last summer, it's HOT and wet, not cool and wet, so the plants are growing like we're down South for a change.

I really like the purples today, especially Catherine Neal. Is John Karl Seager reblooming for you? That's always one of the earliest Hansons to bloom here, so I would have thought you'd be quite a few weeks ahead of me.

Great to hear about your rebloom bounty. I might actually get some of my first rebloom ever up here in the tundra.

Ellie - Have fun at your daughter's this weekend! Bewitching Eyes did have a great opening today. SC Peach Fringe has pretty blooms, but she's losing her foliage. I think the plant is trying to go dormant in all this heat.

Julie - It's good to see you posting again! I would love to send you some of this heat, if I could figure out how. Techny Peach Lace did make a pretty clump today.

Rita - Some years Rosy Rhino has the splotchies. It hasn't here the past two years that I've been putting a systemic on it. Glad you liked the purples. I thought they looked very pretty today. My photo doesn't capture how pretty the color was on Dark Territory. It's one you have to see in person to really appreciate.

Julia - Thanks for the compliment on the Rosy Rhino photo. I usually don't like much direct sun on a bloom. But the sun doesn't change the color on this one when photographed.

Laurel - I sure did a double-take when I saw the Dust Be Diamonds poly. My husband thought it looked like a flower from another planet. LOL

Chris - No, JKS is not reblooming. That's just a scape that came up a little later than the others. I do have bigtime rebloom coming on Cognizant Dissonant, a Hanson than has never rebloomed here before. It has a rebloom scape coming on every fan!

I am sorry to hear that Dark Territory is not doing well. I have been tempted by its high bud count. I have Imperial Decree in my garden. I will let you know how that does.

As for rebloom, I have two daylilies with rebloom scapes and I haven't even had bloom yet. They are Belle of Ashwood and See His Glory. They both have single fans with two scapes coming out of the middle.

Edward - DT was splotchy on nearly every bloom last year, its second year in my garden. The first year it didn't bloom. I think it had a bud count of 9 last year. This year it's up to 14 buds per scape. It's not the caliber of a Bela Lugosi or and Evening Enchantment for a dark, sunfast daylily.

I'm among the blue/purple eye addicts and the green throat is the kiss of death for me, so the Bewitching Eyes is my favorite. In fact one of my hybridizing goals is to come up with the big chartreuse green throat against the more blue to purple eye...to me that combo is devistating. Great pics as always!

Pam - These are later flowers on JKS. Frankly the flowers have never been as large as I expected. I'd love to see your photo for comparison. I can't even remember where I got this one.

Let's see, Dark Territory and Techy Peach Lace are tied on this one, but I love Rosy Rhino too.

Techy Peach Lace and Dark Territory are my two favorites, also. I always like Inca Prince when you post it, and the 5 on 5 bloom of Dust Be Diamonds is really unusual, to say the least. I like it! I remember last year I had two plants of Peanut Butter Parfait (I think) in the oldie bed side by side, and I got up one day and had a regular bloom, a 4 on 4, and a 5 on 5 all lined up grinning at me that morning. That was probably one of the most surprising mornings I had looking at my daylilies. My son was still sleeping, and he didn't see the big deal and humor at all when I went to his door and made such a big deal that he finally got up and looked, I'm sure, just to shut me up!!! But, how often does that happen to someone?? Just some more memories from the oldies bed in the past. Sometimes, they just can't be beat by the new ones, even if the looks and edges are so much more incredible and fancy! LOL Jan G.

Nice, I like Bewitching Eyes, and that clump shot of TPL is just so good. Dust Be Diamonds, wow... and I just planted that one in my garden yesterday!!!

Cindy - Did you get Dust Be Diamonds from Lambertson on your trip. It's the progenitor of his blue eyed line. It's really a tough daylily and a solid performer.
