Cham. obtusa 'Aurea'. Purchased and planted in April 2010.

Perfect specimen and looked like a good dig.

Same conifer December 1 2010. . This one survived. Tips are green and healthy. It shed all inner growth because of insufficient root base to provide nourishment. About 1 in 5 go bad on me. You never know when purchasing conifers this large what is left of the roots because because the evidence is hidden in the ball. I'll probably give it the boot next Spring but will let it color up...you never know...could be interesting.
