Whats blooming today, sunday.

I still have a few blooming today, so got pictures again.

Hoo-ray for reblooms.

ok, thats all thats blooming today, almost, had a couple others that waas very splotchy. After I took the pictures, I took my little garden scooter out to sit on and was pulloing dead leaves off the bottom of a lot of the daylilies, and found some more rebloom scapes on the ones i did.I am up to 24 with rebloom scapes now..Hope I find some more later, Had to quit and come in as it got very hot out there, early.its just now, noon and already 90 out there.

You have some nice ones reblooming today! There's that Big Yellow Taxi that I love! Sweet Sugar Candy and Red Eye Gravy look scrumptious!

Those are two very nice eyed rebloomers. I just love Gillian, but I don't recall ever getting rebloom on that one. It must be in too much shade where it's planted. I noticed a couple of new rebloom scapes here this weekend. It will nice for us to see some blooms in August. Debra

Pork chops and mushroom soup in the crockpot with garlic mashed potatoes and a nice salad. I went to the local farmers market and got resturant mix lettuce, organic hothouse tomatoes, Haas avacado, celery, cucumber and some red onion. Yummy! Patti Table will be dressed with a beautiful flower arrangement, tuberose stems and beautiful orange with yellow edges roses .... I treated myself :)

Well, at this point, the day's half over So far, we were up early, had breakfast. I hemmed a tablecloth while DH puttered with something out back or in the garage. Then we headed out to Walgreens because we had a good coupon ($5 off $20), then to a couple of garden centers. Came home, planted the forscythia bush we bought, met some of the neighbors, moved some bulbs, made and ate lunch, tilled part of the vegetable garden, planted Vidalia onions, lettuce, spinach, cabbage. Hemmed another tablecloth. Straightened up a bit. DH just popped his head in and needs me to come outside and show him what plants I want to dig up to take back to the other house. Need to pack up here, and close the place up, then we'll be heading home, planting those bushes there. And, with any luck, will be going out for dinner (and maybe we'll pop in to visit Aunt in the care facility). Not sure what I'll do this evening--haven't gotten that far yet.

Followup on the Mexican Pot Roast recipe. Ended up not being too hot at all, interestingly. I am guessing that by shredding the pork the pepper had to be absorbed by much more product, thus reducing the heat level. Also, shredding the meat made this a very dense, there was very little broth left, so ladling it over the cornbread made it really thick. It was very tasty though. Am not sure I will make it anymore, though I might make it using 1-2 pounds ground pork or 1-2 pounds ground beef. The ground meat may be a better vehicle for the rest of the ingredients.

Hurray, hurray, hurray for reblooms! I hope you just keep on finding more rebloom scapes.

The blooms are all lovely today. MARIETTA SURPRISE, HYPERION ELITE and RED EYE GRAY look especially nice to me today.

I like the face of Big Yellow Taxi, but not the registered 20" scapes. Red Eye Gravy is a beaut, but I think I will just have to enjoy it in your garden, as it doesn't sound like a plant for the North.

You still have lots of nice bloom. My favorites are Red Eye Gravy and Sweet Sugar Candy.

Good for rebloom!!! Maybe you will find even more! I like Big Yellow Taxi. And Red Eye Gravy.

I love Red Eye Gravy, great colors together. I'm finding more rebloom scapes every day here too. I've tried counting, but then I get distracted with a flower & forget so I just gave up.

Jean, I didn't even know CHINA BRIDE could rebloom. You get rebloom down there on things I would never dream would rebloom.

Nancy, I am glad you are getting reblooms also. That means both of you will be ablew to have long bloom seasons and keep the pictures going.

Jean, Sweet Sugar Candy and Red Eye Gravy make me hungrey.. They get my vote. I have a few in pots that seem to do well. I think it's because the voles affect them so much here. They eat them up... Good think I have so many..LOL!! Ellie
