DH hubby wants to take me out for a date. I am not sure where he is bringing me! He has been working afternoons and has been going to Union negotiations almost daily. He is finally off today. I think he misses me!

I made sugar cookie dough that is chilling, because I want to bring cookies to work on Tuesday. I've been working on thinning out my closet, and I'm going to work in the greenhouse. I will also clean my car. I'm cooking dinner tonight also. My friend my come over later.

I am ready and waiting to go to church. I baked my yeast rolls and heated up the sweet potato casserole. We will stay for the dinner at church afterwards. Not sure what else I will get done today. Would like to take a nap and rest my knee. So far the weather is nice here but they are saying some rain, maybe some thunder storms. Hope everyone has a good day.

Oh, you just reminded me Susan, that I need to wipe down the dashboard of my car. It's really dusty in there.

I also need to go grocery shopping, something I was planning to do all weekend but not my favorite thing to do so of course, I've put it off till the last minute.

I haven't decided if I want to go walk in the park or mow the grass and work in the yard. I kinda want to work in the yard. I may go buy a couple of Dwarf Alberta Spruces to put in the front yard. I've been wanting to replace the Colorado Blue Spruces in the front yard ever since I had them taken out. They were growing up into the eaves of the house. These spruces only grow six foot tall. The front of the house is really bare right now, only a few bushes and one small holly on the corner of the house.

I am going to get out my suitcase for my trip to Texas. Will start getting things out that I want to take. Also need to go grocery shopping for things the guys will need while I am gone.

Not much of anything. We're in the middle of a Spring Blizzard (and not the Dairy Queen kind). I'm sure glad my 2 movies came from Netflix yesterday. I'll be popping some corn and watching movies.

I'm crocheting again. Finished my throw and now back to dishcloths.
I am going to paint a wooden stool that sits along a wall in the dining room, the GB's sit on it when they come. Trying to make up my mind on the terra cotta color I did on one wall when I painted or a matte black. I just wiped it down with Liquid Sandpaper and have to wait 10 minutes.
Then a book and a nap *may* be a possibility!
Supper will need to be made and in the oven later afternoon. I'm going to call DS and tell him to come up for Potato Pizza Casserole, he loves it.
Then after supper out for my nightly visit with Uncle Gene in the nursing home....he's waiting for tomorrow when the Minnesota Twins begin their baseball season. I've gotten into baseball some what the past 3 years since Uncle Gene went into the home. Much to DH's dismay I root for the Twins! LOL

Raking outdoors. It's 51 now, if it gets over 55 you'll find me outside. I don't like the cold.

Going to finally reply to the many emails that have been backed up for weeks and then off for a Sunday drive with DH down the coast in my new car.

Back from church, and had lunch. Now I have to get going on my plan of sewing quilt edges. We always make a quilt for our church graduates, and it is 11 this year, plus the others we are making. I think I will probably get a nap in there sometime, too.

I've been to church and out to lunch at Red Lobster. We got there at 11:10 and it was full. I don't think the recession has hit Tyler. Now I'm watching the rest of #1 Ladies detective Agency DH recorded for me off HBO. I've read all the books. When it's over, I'm going to take a trip to the library and then we're going down to a plant farm looking for some hydrangeas or azaleas for an empty place in a flower bed. I will finish the paper at some point and the Sudoku puzzle, which is 5 puzzles that overlap. I don't stop 'til I get that sucker!!! That ought to do it!!

I am back from church and the church dinner. Really good meal as usual. I only had about a tablespoon of the sweet potato casserole left and a few rolls. I left them both. I asked my husband before I left if he wanted me to bring him back a meal and he said just a piece of pie. (You know his love affair with sweet) Our son in law also asked before we left and he told him the same thing. Well son in law fixed the to go meal and got him some ham, chicken and noodles, green beans and taco casserole plus a piece of some kind of cake and a couple of cookies. When he opened his dinner up, he said where's my pie! Looks like I am going to have to bake a pie tomorrow. For the rest of the day I am going to try and take a nap.

Sunday is my day of rest, of course every day is a day of rest for me. It takes very little work to keep the house straight for one person. The only cooking I do is breakfast 2 or 3 times a week, the rest of the time I eat out.

It is really windy here, so I have been inside catching up on my filing in my office. Tomorrow I think I will go through all my files and clean them up. Most of it is genealogy stuff that needs to go into the books I have made.
I boiled 17 eggs, as I am expecting GK's over today. They can color them for Easter, as they will be with the Great Grands for easter egg hunts all day next Sunday at their different churches.
Probably chicken on the grill, while DD and I clean house.

Haven't got dressed yet today. Just chillin'

Well, at this point, the day's half over

So far, we were up early, had breakfast. I hemmed a tablecloth while DH puttered with something out back or in the garage. Then we headed out to Walgreens because we had a good coupon ($5 off $20), then to a couple of garden centers. Came home, planted the forscythia bush we bought, met some of the neighbors, moved some bulbs, made and ate lunch, tilled part of the vegetable garden, planted Vidalia onions, lettuce, spinach, cabbage. Hemmed another tablecloth. Straightened up a bit.

DH just popped his head in and needs me to come outside and show him what plants I want to dig up to take back to the other house. Need to pack up here, and close the place up, then we'll be heading home, planting those bushes there. And, with any luck, will be going out for dinner (and maybe we'll pop in to visit Aunt in the care facility).

Not sure what I'll do this evening--haven't gotten that far yet.
