Stay indoors and stay cool - I live in the steamy deep south, where it's HOT!

It is errand day for me. Drop off the rent check, get some groceries, and go to the bank drive-thru and get some petty cash and 3 rolls of quarters. The washer and dryer in our APT BLDG takes them. I might stop off at the dollar store and buy some greeting cards I'll need in the next couple months,

I'll spend the morning visiting Aunt in the nursing home. I usually go on Monday, but we stayed an extra day in the country this week. Then, I'll be neatening and straightening the house--the tax assessor is coming out in a day or two (yuck!). This evening, DH and I will be going to the town council meeting. A bunch of neighbors have had it with the fact that our streets have been dug up for over a year, with no end to the project in sight. We're all sick of having to drive over potholes, fighting dust and mud, having the workers leaving their trash all over our properties (and using our yards as bathrooms). The've broken our sidewalk, destroyed our driveway, broken water mains and gas lines. And there's no end in sight. And then they have the nerve to reassess our properties--so they can up our values and taxes? That's just an added insult!

Going running. Doing laundry. Weeding clover, reading a book that is due back soon. Yesterday, I purchased fabric to make a seat cushion for a bench, may start on that project.

Then, home to do laundry.

I just got up, came in here to boot up the PC and here I sit in my bath robe. I have to do my morning routine and vacuum sometime today. That pretty well covers my ambitions for today, I should say covers what I have to do today. I have no other plans except to go out for lunch, may just settle for a hot dog or burger at Freddie's. I have Debbie Macomber book Hannah's List started so will read and work my jigsaw puzzle

I've got to get to Petsmart and stock up on cat food today, then I hope to craft this afternoon.

I slept in the morning.. YEA! Had a hard day yesterday. Today I am getting redy for my huby to come home. He has been gone a week building a barn at our house down south. I am making him a meatloaf (one of his favorites), some cukes and onions and whatever else comes to mind. It will be great to have him home for a few days.

I am getting the house picked up, going out for a haircut, getting fresh sheets on our bed and whatever else that comes to mind. Mostly inside stuff because it is to darn hot to do anything outside..

I am just sitting here at the computer, REALLY enjoying reading what all of you are going to do today, and thinking how different each one of our lives are !

My day will start soon, if I can push myself away for this place ! I need to give the horses and goats some hay,feed the chickens, water all of our trees and plants and then I have a big trip planned to our local Walmart !

This morning I went to an appointment out of town, and then went to help DS with something. After that, I went to Wal-Mart. Now I have many things to do, but I'm very tired because I went to Toronto yesterday. I'm going to have a nap before I get started on my chores.

Heading up to daughter's to help with our two small grandsons, do lunch, and then laundry and anything else that will help her. Our grandsons are 3 1/2 and 9 months. So much fun!

I broke down and did laundry this morning. Our w/d are in the garage and it heats it up so danged bad I've been putting it off. So now everything's clean and put away.

Yesterday at Wal-Mart I got Magic Erasers since they had such good reviews here. Wow! Now I know why. I cleaned everything I could think of with just one swipe. Those things really are magic!! It took no effort whatsoever to clean the cabinet fronts and the outside of all the appliances. They are my new favorite thing!

Then I started cleaning the garage floor. It's painted and it was really bad. I only got the top coat of dirt off, but I was just using water, no cleaner. It looks a little better anyway. Had to use a stiff-bristle brush so I quit when I got too hot.

I took about a 15 minute "power nap" and I'm going to stick a pot roast in the oven soon for dinner, peel some potatoes and carrots to cook with it and quit for the day.

Played 18 holes of golf, went grocery shopping afterwards. Had to hit two stores to get everything I wanted, Came home, unpacked the groceries, started catching up on taped programs, hit the computer and now it's time for dinner.

I didn't go running. Phone rang...I forgot I had a roofing estimator scheduled to "maybe" come over if it didn't rain. The pitch of the roof is so steep they won't go up on it if it's wet. Took him an hour to mosey on over from the time he called....

So I washed Epi house plants with antibacterial soap...they are full of fungas....while I waited. :0) Oh joy! :0)
