Saturday~What are your plans for today?

We're expecting snow here up to 8 inches. So I'll just be hanging out doing some laudry and making a pot of soup.

So far, the only plan I have is to shower and dress so that I can take a self portrait of me with my husband. LOL I'm doing a 365 day self portrait challenge and am dragging him into it. LOL So far, it's 1ÂºC outside and we're expecting it to go up to 2ÂºC. I think it might get warmer as it's only 9 o'clock. I don't look at the short range forecast anymore because it changes on a daily basis. I just look at what's going on today because it's usually right. But I noticed both the short and long range forecasts change daily. I just make my plans and hope for the best.

I'm going out for dinner and then to a basketball tournament championship game with my son and a friend. This is an annual event for us, and it's very exciting.

It's after 11 and the temp. is 68 out. Beautiful! It was 88 yesterday so it's quite a welcome drop. So far today, I've been reading the newspapers and checking out the coupons. I have to finish boxing up DGD's wedding gifts and get them to UPS tomorrow. They just got back home to California this week. We got them a good set of pots and pans, a 12-piece place setting of Oneida flatware, a set of 24 glasses like mine. I like them so much, I just had to. Also a SS mixing bowl and SS measuring cups and spoons. And a 14-piece set of Pyrex bakeware. It was such a deal! ($17.49 at Boscov's.) It has a lot of pans in different sizes (9x13, 8x8, loaf pan, etc.) I started looking for deals when we first found out they were getting married, so I had over a year to shop--and never left home :-) I have ribs to put in the oven later--don't know what else yet. Well, at this point, the day's half over So far, we were up early, had breakfast. I hemmed a tablecloth while DH puttered with something out back or in the garage. Then we headed out to Walgreens because we had a good coupon ($5 off $20), then to a couple of garden centers. Came home, planted the forscythia bush we bought, met some of the neighbors, moved some bulbs, made and ate lunch, tilled part of the vegetable garden, planted Vidalia onions, lettuce, spinach, cabbage. Hemmed another tablecloth. Straightened up a bit. DH just popped his head in and needs me to come outside and show him what plants I want to dig up to take back to the other house. Need to pack up here, and close the place up, then we'll be heading home, planting those bushes there. And, with any luck, will be going out for dinner (and maybe we'll pop in to visit Aunt in the care facility). Not sure what I'll do this evening--haven't gotten that far yet.

dh & i went to walt disney world's epcot park for the Flower Show from 9am-3pm. beautiful day, far fewer tourists (YEAH!!!!) than normal and the severe storms held off long enough for us to get in & out of there and hit publix on the way home too. the flower show was nothing to brag about except for their nice topiary frames, i wanted to see cool unusual new plants but mostly i saw the plants we grew and shipped to disney from where i work lol. one other nice thing was that a new toll road opened recently that makes getting down to disney from winter park only 30 minutes now. nice day, glad i have a day to relax before work thou lol~ liz

Mostly just puttering around. Supposed to get up to 90 this afternoon. Was up at 6:00, went out back to pick a bunch more grapes. Cooked them down to make juice. Strained yesterday's juice and froze that. Ran the dishwasher. Chatted with DD on the phone for a while. Have a bunch of errands to do, but our neighborhood streets are closed daytime (they're replacing the water, sewer and gas lines for several blocks in each direction), so this evening, DH and I will go to the bank, buy cat food. It's Friday night--the only evening the Canoli place in town is open, so we may treat ourselves. Pack up the car so we can get on the road to the country house as soon as he gets out of work tomorrow.

Yesterday, we came home from a few days in Atlantic City, and went straight to the supermarket to get in some food for a snowy, icy weekend.
Right now, the sun is shining on about 1" of snow that is melting rapidly. But, it is cold out, so I'll be doing laundry and just relaxing.

got the house fully opened up, it will be in the upper 70's today :-) i will do some cleaning & organizing, workout, walk the girls, go out and do some shopping...probably hit a fondue restaurant for dinner.

DH left at 4 am to go surf fishing, high tide at 6:30am :-/ he's at new smyrna beach, will be back this afternoon. we went to playalinda over the last few weeks and even w/ temps in the upper 70's w/ the breeze it was too cold for me, i'll go again when it's mid 80's lol. ~ liz

Little to nothing!? lol I have some pork chops in the crock pot will add some stuffing to it this afternoon. I am about to make some Blueberry Oat Bread in a few. I need to really go through my desk and get all my old bills organized...but that might need some thoughts, so not sure I will do that! LOL I may just stay in my pjs all day as we are expecting wind after our newly fallen snow of 5.5", it could be BAD! I can see some movies and couch time today! =)

Well I just shoveled the driveway and I've run the dishwasher. I have to run to the grocery store, do the treadmill and make supper. We've having 5 friends over this evening for board games.

I plan to spend most of my time between washer/dryer loads watching the birds and the snow while listening to some good down home bluegrass on the radio. Good day to stay in and contemplate.

I am doing laundry and cleaning this morning. Going to the ISU womens basketball game at 3 p.m. It is cold and we have about 5 inches of snow.

I have already showered, put a load of towels in the washer, started cleaning MB closet
and decluttering here and there. DH and I are calling this a day for some blisting of the house.
Then we are going to watch the Ravens whip the Titans' butt and out to dinner some where.
Here is our weather forcast for today and it is cold out!
Today: Cloudy with showers. High 38F. Chance of rain 60%.
Tonight: A steady rain this evening. Showers continuing overnight. Low 34F. Chance of rain 70%.

This is my 3rd and final day of bedrest. We are celebrating Christmas again tonight since my middle son, Dusty, is home from work. We're having tamales, chips and dip.
