What's for dinner today (Sunday)?

Since we're still painting, I've got a slow cooker pot roast going, the garlic mashed potatoes are ready to cook, and it will only take me a couple of minutes to throw a cole slaw together.

You can't even smell the paint because of the pot roast.

Can't plan much...football game today at dinner time.
Roast turkey breast with sage dressing, cranberry sauce, and Ceasar salad.

A chocolate cake for dessert.

we went out to HuHot. OMGosh, I love that place. You get a bowl, fill it with whatever ingredients you like, add sauce and they cook it on a big round grill. 5 meat choices, many seafood choices, three types of noodles, many many fresh vegetables, tofu, beans, then on to the sauces and oils....probably 20 different ones. You choose what you like, it's all fresh and cooked as you watch. And.....you can go back as many times as you want. I got three small servings of different things. Now, I'm STUFFED. And, it's all healthy.

Shrimp kabobs on the grill, served on top of a big salad made of all kinds of good things. We're harvesting baby greens and mixed greens from the garden again, so that was a treat. I made a spicy thousand island type dressing that tasted good with the shrimp.

Sunday was a beautiful, cold, wintry, sunny day. We bought a 2-pack of frozen Delissio pizza when we were doing groceries. It was on sale, plus I had a $2 coupon. Boy have they changed! They are a LOT smaller.......square instead of round. The package said Party Pack but they wouldn't come close to feeding a group of people. With frozen food I always add more veggies, sauce and cheese. Thank heavens for the coupon, we won't be buying that again. We had a salad with it as well. I made an apple crostata for desset.

Laura, almost everything I make "grows". Chili, baked ziti, scalloped potatoes. We love leftovers. Gazania, turkey orzo soup sounds good! I'll babysit a dog anytime! Shirley, how did you do your sweet potato? Did you bake it, or microwave it? We like it mixed with white or yukon golds. I've never eaten a sweet potato on its own. Kittiemom, pizza is good anytime! Angela, that is cold! I can't get over the cold temps, we've been real lucky. Roasted chicken is one of hubby's favourite meals. Phyllis, bread is our downfall. And homemade can't be beat. I often divide a loaf between a couple of friends and they are in heaven. Hmmmm Rhizo, glad you loved your meal! ;-) Jean, meatloaf and mashed potatoes and corn. Real comfort food. Have never had meatloaf with mozzarella though. Sounds yummy! I had a friend who used to put a hard-boiled egg in the middle of hers. Raven, glad your meal was as good as you had hoped. Leftovers are a bonus! Matti, sandwiches taste extra good, when they're made on baguettes.

A family-fave... meatloaf, mashed potatoes, peas, biscuits. We rarely have sit-down dinners during the week, so I am looking forward to it!

Homemade Italian sausage, Canadian bacon & pepperoni pizza with homemade crust! I have to do some 'tweaking' to the crust that I made a couple of weeks ago...pretty bland/boring!

Watching the games so it will be hoagies today, but tomorrow I will cook a roast in the crock pot to make up for it.

A very DRY chicken and dressing casserole, yucky seasoned turnip greens and blackeye peas with no seasoning. Was NOT worth the bucks I spent for that, yuck!

Pork chops and mushroom soup in the crockpot with garlic mashed potatoes and a nice salad. I went to the local farmers market and got resturant mix lettuce, organic hothouse tomatoes, Haas avacado, celery, cucumber and some red onion. Yummy!

Table will be dressed with a beautiful flower arrangement, tuberose stems and beautiful orange with yellow edges roses .... I treated myself :)

I have Brunswick stew simmering away. I had been meaning to make it since I had all the stuff, but kept forgetting until Glenda mentioned she had it for lunch the other day. Bread sticks to go with.

Chicken soup made with lentils and veggies fresh from the farmers market. We are getting a little tired of soup because I've made so much of it lately (Weight Watchers!), so I seasoned this one with Thai red curry paste and ginger. It's a little spicy and very yummy!
