These are all just beautiful photos of gorgeous daylilies. My favorites are Clown Parade and Ebony Pools. Arrikis Sunset is an eye-catcher too.

Your purples are beautiful. I'm having an awful time with my reds and purples as they are all splotchy.

Julia- Citrix opens fine, I don't know why those pedals in the picture are not open perfectly today. But its a good opener so don't be afraid to get it because of my picture with the imperfect petal. Ellie- Sorry about your moles wrecking havac. The SELLSTATION prefix is used by Dale Thomas for some of his intros. But then he doesn't use it for all of his intros and I have no idea why. I really like the Thomas intros because they are late blooming. Well, this year is crazy.

Thanks for the nice comments everyone. Rita, I picked up June Hudson last year locally. It was gorgeous in that garden. I didn't see any splotchiness. The first couple blooms here this year were splotchy. I don't know if it will be like that all the time or if it was due to the heavy rains we got the nights before they opened. There were 3 open in that picture and the other 2 were splotchy. I hope it will straighten out because I do love it. It's one of DH's favorites also. Christine, HHP was one that DH had to have. I do like it a lot though. The plant next to it is a Ninebark Diablo shrub. It has really taken off this year and I'm going to need to move HHP and Meet Joe Black which is on the other side of the shrub. Michelle

Never tired of seeing them or any other daylily flowers. In this batch Lilting Belle looks especially enticing. I still like Avis Jean and Chinese Princess. IN STYLE looks great, I could not get a decent picture of mine either yesterday or today so I am glad to see yours. And my final comment for now is that it's nice to see KING GEORGE. I don't know how commenly grown it is around the country but since its by a local Long Island hybridizer I had seen alot of it in person on the garden tours last year. It really is a big striking flower.

Oh My Goodness! I got my BOX today from Miss Wendy!! Holy Cow!! First, lemme tell you...she put my address on a large ORANGEcolor> sheet of paper. With googly eyes!! The kids liked that. :O) Then, as I opened it up...the kids looking over my shoulder...they all screamed..."A BOX FULL OF CANDY! CANDY CANDY CANDY!!" To which I said...with large stick in hand..."DOWN DOWN DOWN, YOU JACKELS!! It's not like you've never gotten candy before!!!" (ok, maybe not with a stick...but I sure needed one!!) So, with kids climbing over me, on me and around me, I *tried* to write everything down as I found it in the box. Please forgive me, Wendy, if I missed anything! ~An orange & black rubber snake (Adora took off with this) ~A multi-colored skeleton light set ~A LARGE LARGE bowl of CANDY, puzzles, pencils, rubber skeletons & bats, halloween jewelry, whoopee cushions...Just TONS of stuff!! ~A bag of spider web (decorative, not real..LOL..) ~Bottles of Pumpkin bubbles ~Iris- "superstition" ~Mini mugs- pumpkins, kitties & ghosts! ~An IV bag of blood (cherry liquid candy...but STILL GROSS!! ICK!!! LOL) ~Ghost & pumpkin tealight candles ~VANILLA BEAN ORCHID!!! Yay!!! :O) ~Seeds!! Tons and tons of SEEDS!!! Some in cute halloween bags! Debra- There is so much blooming everwhere now. Hardly know where to look when I go outside.

daylilylover- Call me Rita, everyone does :-)) The weather here has been exceptionally hot and humid. Your splotches are caused by thrips. We have just about all had more than ever problems with thrips this year. Use the search function and search thrips and you will see lots of posts on the subject. You might want to spray to get rid of them.

I read Dune a very long time ago when I was much younger. One of my favorite all time Sci-Fri classics. Saw lots of Movie adaptations of it also. As soon as I saw the name of the intro ARRAKIS SUNSET I knew right away what the referece was. For you non Sci-Fi fans the DUNE books took place on the planet ARRAKIS nicked DUNE due to the extreme desert climate.

Ellie- When I saw Paul Owens intros for 2010 at first I was not going to get anything. Trying to be reasonable for once, ha. But I liked the picture of FEELING FRISKY alot so I decided to go for it. I am so glad I did. It is so much prettier than my pictures show. I love it.

WOW Rita, I love Ebony Pools and A Fox In Every Henhouse. I am looking for any that are truely purple and not mauve. I hope to order me some dark, dark shades maybe this fall. If you have any good suggestions let me know. Judy

ozzy- Fear Not is not one of the newest Emmeriches, I bet you can find it reasonably somewhere. Maybe the Lily Auction?

RITA;I don't care for Butterscotch, but,I sure do like your W.BUTTERSCOTCH ICE CREAM. That is so pretty. FEAR NOT is a beauty, too.Just love the name on W.A FOX IN EVERY HENHOUSE.Its very very pretty.My favorite is EBONY POOLS and 2nd favorite is CLOWN PARADE. Gosh its a beauty...Such beauties blooming today.AIN'T IT FUN.:))
