All right! I love all the yellows and oranges. Elfin surprise is adorable! I'd put it in a nice place. I bought some flags from Paul Owen and I am planning a few bed changes...some that are short need to move out and tall ones got in their places. Soem of the short ones are going in a front bed that has only azaleas, lilies and one echinacea (and daffs, but plenty of room :))

Kay, you know I am always moving something. In this case I think they will do better moved and the Olallie no name that blooms in the folliage is not even worth garden space. I gave it three years to shape up so now its off to the garabage can.

Glad to know I have company in that I am not the only one going to be doing some rearrainging.

I like Sunny Spot. I think your plan to move it sounds good. It probably does need a sunnier spot to do the rebloom thing. The bright orange lilies may be common, but they're very showy! The cluster of yellow roses is elegant and pretty.

Rita;Glad you are getting some daylilies blooming, even if they are not the right ones for you.I like that SUNNY SPOT.I think its very pretty,with that bright red eye. I really love them yellow lilies. The yellow rose Bouquet is so pretty, too. Maybe your larger flower daylilies will be blooming soom?

Ok. I feel cheated. You put the word "new" 4 times in the title, and there are only 3 new daylilies! ;) Your other pretties more than make up for it though.

I like Sunny Spot best. That bright eye is really pretty. Too bad it doesn't rebloom for you the way it is supposed to. I hope your plan to relocate it produces better results.

Lemon Lollypop is apparently spelled with a "y" instead of an "i". When I went to the Nat'l Arboretum, I thought they had their tag wrong, because I don't ever remember seeing the word spelled with a "y" before, but I checked the AHS database, and it appears it was registered with a "y".

Debra- Thats what I do if a daylily is not giving me the results that I expect, I move it. I decided this spring I don't like the Olallie no name and when Sunny Spot bloomed it just hit me to move it into that daylily row in front as the ones planted there seem to be blooming like crazy.

Jean - I hope soon that the daylily season will get in swing. I have so many scapes just everywhere LOL!

Nice bloomers today. The rose picture is very pretty. I like Sunny Spot, but I always like the bold eyed ones. Too bad it never rebloomed for you.
The lilies are extra nice to have blooming.

So today I sprayed all the daylilies for Thrips. Just came back inside after being done. Last year I waited until I saw damaged blooms open to spray but this year I decided to get ahead and spray now. I don't see bumps, but do see some were it looks like some bug chomped on some buds.

I just have been having the greatest most fantastic bloom season this year. That started with the spring bulbs, moved to the Tall Bearded Iris and then the roses. I want to continue my streak with the daylilies as there are just scapes appearing all over the place. Things are clumped up and the daylilies growing like gangbusters this spring. So I decided to give them a spray and hopefully have no thrips this year.

I really like Sunny Spot, so crisp & bright. Shame it doesn't rebloom, maybe it will get with the program planted with other workers. Your lilies are lovely, but the rose is gorgeous.

Rita, I love SUNNY SPOT! Hope it does well when you move it.

Glad to know that someone else doesn't like blooms down in the foliage. I gave a co-worker a start of ORIENTAL DANCER and told him that it blooms down in the foliage and that was an undesirable trait by a lot of daylily folks. He did not understand at all!

The rose cluster is so cute! I just planted two Milwaukee Calatrava rose bushes in my new beds and am going to give them a try. I love roses, but so do the Japanese Beetles and I hate fighting them all summer. But I just couldn't pass up these because they smell wonderful.

The orange lilies are similar to what I want to put along the front of my new beds, but I want some that are only about 12" high. I'll be on the lookout for these bulbs.

Can't wait to see more of your daylily blooms.

Cindy- Thanks. I seem to be way behind you in bloom season even though I am supposed to be zones warmer LOL!

Nancy- Now that I think about it I remember I used to have Forever Stella over there near were Sunny Spot is now and it didn't start to rebloom until I moved it to daylily row. So maybe moving will do the trick.

Kathy and Linda- I don't know why its named Eflin as that makes me think of a small bloom but it's not small.

Vickie- I just hate it if a daylily blooms down in the folliage. I have kicked out anything in my garden that did that. So that one will go too. Its nothing to look at anyway, just a small flower plain yellow daylily.

The orange lilies are about 3 feet tall but I have shorter orange ones too so I know you can get them somewhere.

I love my roses but the spring flush is winding down. It was just the best that it has ever been this year.

Rita, I absolutely love those roses. I have some chomped buds too. I think in some ways this year is the most beautiful my garden has ever been, but I've also never seen so many pests. The aphids are astonishingly numerous.
