Made it in just before it started storming again.

Entrapment-got this one last year at a nursery, but it isn't nearly 6" in diameter. I'm wondering if it is wrong. Although Bold Move right next to it isn't 6" this year either. Wonder if all the rain could have something to do with it?

Siloam Bo Peep

Shutterbug continues to astound me, short scapes & dainty little foliage, but this huge, over 7", perfect bloom. I think it is supposed to be taller, so probably will improve next year when it has settled a bit. I would like for it to be taller.

Both of those seedlings are really nice :-) You have lots of beautiful blooms today but I am going to go with Shutterbug as my favorite. Its a great picture and I like the shape of the flower with that fabulous purple eye.

They are all really nice. I think my favorite is 'Sultry Summer', it has a nice saturated color.

Christine, one thing I like about Isaac is that the blooms fade & drop off nicely, not turning into a slushy mess like some. I'm quite fond of that daylily. That is a tradescantia behind it, Bilberry Ice. Sarah, I'm not big on yellows really, but I love the yellow shading of Isaac. Bill Norris just blooms & reblooms, what's not to love about that :) Caribbean Eye Spy hasn't multiplied a lot for me so I don't have lots of scapes, but it rebloomed last year quite late in the season. Hoping it continues to do that. I like my lilies, Rita, you know that :) I'm wondering if the flower is extra huge because it put all its energy into just that one bud, or if it is normally that big. Guess I should look it up & see if they tell. For a dwarf lily, the bloom is as wide as the plant is tall. Thanks Celeste! It has been a sunny day, hasn't it. I was just getting ready to go outside & do some yard work, but it has clouded up & started to rain. DARN :) Debra, I am always moving plants around, but hate to move the ones that are really doing well where they are. I also hesitate to move one that may not be doing well, thinking if I move it I might set it back even more. I'm much to indecisive. Thanks Marg!

Everyone's photos of Joan Derifield are always such a hit on this forum, which is why I asked about the Stout medal. She sure deserves it, in my opinion. Mantis, High Plains Drifter is a single fan that I had to let bloom just to see what it looks like -- probably no more photos this year, but I'm pleased with the FFO. Debra, I'd be happy to do a trade. I might even try to have you adopt (rescue) a few that would like your climate better than mine.

It is just that the heat has been oppressive. Well, not the heat but the heat and humidity combined. It is just as hot today, maybe two degress cooler but the humidity is down so I am working in the garden. I am a summer person and I don't mind summer weather until it gets overly oppressive. Yesterday was the worst! Chris that daylily in the backround is Ruby Shadows. Jean, Hearts Of Fire has been blooming for weeks and weeks. I think I I posted a picture of it once. Its only July and that late bloomers bed is blooming. Each year the daylilies seem to start earlier and earlier. I used to have the late bloomers in August but now look. And summers seem to be hotter. Or maybe it's just my old age!

I love the way Hello Helen looks with Apache War Dance. They make a gorgeous combo for the late garden. Two Janes looks like a bright, happy pink for the end of the season. I hope you will be posting a photo of Sellstation Sunset soon. That's the Dale Thoms late I'm most interested in adding. Most of my lates are finished. My two Davisson lates are still going strong, along with Final Touch, which is bud building very well, and Royal Jester. Debra

Within the past few days I have picked PRETTY GAUDY and ENTRAPMENT as favorites on other threads, and I like them both here too, but I have to pick SULTRY SUMMER as my favorite. Both of your seedlings look very nice too.

Wonderful photos Gift from Heaven, Sultry Summer, and Shutterbug are my favorites of this group but you know I want one of each of all of them it's a good thing I am maxed out at the moment.

Rita, you know how I love the big flowers with eyes, and this one really fits the bill! I was expecting it to be a bit more yellow than the almost white color, but I see the clump shot at Slightly Diff Nursery it does look more white. I like it either way, such a nice bloom. I'm appreciating more & more the ones that start the season perfectly, rather than some that put out some nasty looking 1st blooms. Possibly my thrip problem, but this one wasn't bothered.
Karen, Debra & Casey, I was in the rich red with edge phase a couple of years ago, I'm sure glad I got Sultry Summer. I really like it too.
Are you sure you are maxed out, Linda, these are all really gorgeous! This is the 1st year for Shutterbug, I'm expecting even better next year. As I mentioned, my only complaint is that it is VERY short, I'm talking 12" at most. I only have 1 scape right now, I'm sure future scapes will be better. Sultry Summer is on its 2nd year here, received it as 1 fan, still just 1 fan, but a nice one with lots of buds. 2nd year too for Gift From Heaven & it is great! Really multiplied & blooming like mad.

Nancy- I am sure it will shape up and be much taller next year. Paul Owen would never introduce a daylily that was short like that.

Your seedlings are both nice especailly the red with white edge. For registered daylilies my favorites are Sultry Summer and Gift from Heaven.
